  • Why haven't I released a roller shade or control circuit video yet? Well, in this video, I'll tell you. This is more of an update to ongoing projects than a single project video.

There was no rambling on this video. On the contrary you do create "smarter circuits" and make it entertaining too.
I do feel your subscriber numbers would increase if you considered linking your devices to Home Assistant. You are familiar with a Raspberry Pi, Shelly, etc so it wouldn't be a steep learning curve. There are already many good producers of Home Assistant content but they tend to look at it from the programming/automations point of view, which is very interesting, whereas your approach is more of an electronics point of view. Home Assistant has the specification to deliver "smarter circuits" type projects but I don't know of many people producing such content and it would be of interest. Taking the roller blinds as an example. There are plastic sensors out there that will do a similar thing but they are flimsy, susceptible to damage and probably cost more. Your solution is far more robust and offers more control. It's worth the extra effort to follow your solution on Home Assistant. It's just a thought.

I will certainly look into it. I have, up to this point, kept things very simple for a variety of reasons, but I have seen quite a few things in regards to Home Assistant. I think I will give it a test run and perhaps do a video of the experience. Thanks for watching and engaging!

@@smartercircuits Glad to help. If you added it to Home Assistant, that would be the second video. Your projects, therefore, would always cover two videos. One for the electronic side and the second would be how it connects to Home Assistant and the possible automations.
