It is too funny that Mhangheni male leaves, Avocas come. When they leave, he shows up again. No way that is not contrived. Tristan said other day, a couple cubs were left with the Mhangheni male. Females just left. Even have him babysitting. Lol

I wait for each commentary, although I really can't watch all the longer ones during the working week ! I didn't like the idea of safaris before finding you by chance, as I was (still am) put off by the amount of vehicles and noise surrounding the animals. However your well informed commentaries, your high regard for animal welfare and the respect that you have for each other has taken me round that hurdle and into this exciting and precious world Thanks
Lion cubs are impossibly cute. Hard to believe in four year's time the male cubs will weigh 400 pounds or more and their roars will be heard five miles away.
I can understand being grumpy. Tiny sharp teeth always want food, no wonder Amber Eyes needs a break. 😂 those cubs are so so cute! Precious little ones!! 💜
I was about to say 'what a wonderful lion family' at 2:14 then one lioness sniffed the daddy lions butt and caused a slight kerfuffle! 🤣 of course, they are still wonderful, especially seeing all the family like that 😍
I know these tours and what not have their place for conservation but its kind of scary how comfortable they do get around vehicles and humans (falling asleep in front of two big vehicles and like 30 people). They probably cant tell tourists and poachers apart.....
@@nico348 Most of the poachers are poor. Anti poaching teams find them by tracking or with tracking dogs. And sometimes the lions find them first because they sleep outside. Tourists do bushwalks with a ranger only during the day. Pretty safe, because the ranger knows what to do when lions are around. So I've seen this earlier and was informed that Rich Nose was the one nursing all the cubs, including Amber's. Is she the most senior lioness now after Nana? Who's the dominate lioness of Nkuhumas?
It's not that Ridge Nose was nursing them and the others weren't, but rather that female lions will nurse one another's cubs if they are producing milk. Female lion prides are about family connections, not dominance. Theres no such thing as dominant lionesse in the pride, they are all equal, if the pride has cubs and sub adults the older ones are leading in the hunts, movements etc.
U mean Ridge nose?. I did see Amber eyes nursing awhile ago & I also thought there was no dominant female as stated above but I'm not sure about that but I think they are equal.
2:20 i've noticed this behaviour before - one lioness will approach and smell a male from behind then aggression. what the hell is that? possibly a sub adult female that the male is not mating with?
@@2011ACVVV Lol. I thought that exact thing. Like male was leave me alone -grrrrrrrrr ( not my type) if you notice he was close or rubbing nose/face with other lioness. If I was talking with a guy and another came sniffing- well I wouldn't try to bite him - lol but I would say " what"- please get away!
