I think my problem is is when I sing people say it sounds good but in reality it wasn't that good at all. First off I'd like for people to be honest, it might make me embarrassed and kill my mood a bit, but I'll get over it, but also tell me what sounded off. What was it that wasn't good so I can go home and work on it.
Don't be that person who lies. Give constructive criticism, but be nice. :)

When I was in elementary school, my classmates always say that I have a good voice, but whenener there's an event where our class have to do a performance, they never let me sing a solo or anything. The only solo part I ever got was rapping a verse and I kinda blew it up (my anxiety took the best of me).
Eventually, I just thought of it as a nice way for them to tell me I can't sing rather than let me embarassed myself if they let me sing a solo.
I kept my singing to myself after that.

Welp you gotta work your way down slowly starting from the most comfortable note to the lowest note you can sing comfortably. You can do some vocal exercises for your vocal type and practice singing a song, master the original version then lower it half step down, master that, then go lower and all.
There are also some cool techniques you can do that a capella bass singers do! I, a girl, can do subharmonics, low growls, and vocal fry but it took me months to get a good grasp of em, which will take a bit longer to also master them lolol.
But then please don't forget bout the higher end of your range!! Expand both!! Practice better singing techniques and explore vocal registers! And most importantly have fun!!!!

I just recently learned that I'm more off pitch than I think I am. It's definitely difficult to hear it yourself, but I've always felt like I was off pitch because something would feel so off about the singing, and I listen to a lot of female rock artists as dude, and automatically love singing their songs which need a totally different technique that a dude can never measure up to. I've come to realize that my singing technique is shit because it's very forced and will sound a bit like kermit the frog lol. I'm now trying to see what I can do about that.

One thing i gotta point out is that you're not ever meant to resonate from the throat apart from if you sing in chest voice.
3 key resonaters is the head the chest and your mix. The mix is the mask of your face so you will indeed incorporate nasal resonance into your mix voice.
