MW3 Survival: Lockdown wave 139 (is this even legit?)

- Our strategy for Lockdown is dodgy at best. We basically do that room in the 2nd floor of the corner building, with one person in the doorway shooting down the hall and the other person in the room shooting at the stairs.
While technically not a hack or glitch it is taking advantage of the game mechanics (ie, taking advantage of the fact that enemies and players can not walk through each other).
I think a lot of people have used this trick before but while it looks easy it's actually quite tricky, especially at higher waves.
We'll leave it up to you to decide whether this is a proper legit strategy or not. (Personally we're not sure and we probably shouldn't include it when we list our leaderboard rankings). - Auta a dopravní prostředky

@MyNameIsEricYo Yeah, if the guy in the door hasn't got a fast loading gun and Sleight Of Hand they are screwed once the juggs arrive. As soon as you revive them they go down within 3 seconds, so you have to have a weapon you can reload in that time. The only way around this is to flash or throw nades (which cause juggs to back off for a sec), but once you run out of those it's a problem.
You can't use this strategy for many maps. Bakaara is the only other one we tried it on though.
@womblingwombat2 yeah, I see. I've never actually tried the Striker passed 30, didn't know if it would work well. I find the M60 to be a very good LMG, not sure if you've tried it. High damage, high fire rate, and obviously LMG ammo. The only this is, of course, the reload time. Did you try to put a Sentry Gun in the room you are staying in? Looking towards the door it could help out, not sure if they shoot it though.
It is completely "legit", it isn't a glitch or hack. However I'm torn if that is a valid strategy or not. Despite what I just said, I think you are one of the best survival players on youtube up to the rank of relaxing, mato, and dims!
But, congrats on wave 139! I'm not saying that it wasn't hard, it takes dedication and stamina to go that far. Good job guys!
Cool vid! I got to 64 using this method. The dogs are the hardest part, they can bowl you over and enter the room and then all hell breaks loose. LOL. Always have 20 clamores planted around both staircases to slow them down for sure. I also use the 8 gun glitch which is probably considered not legit.

Definitely a usable tactic quite cleaver. Using the game's design as an advantage. Sun Tzu esque. It took alot of ammo and explosives to survive jugg rounds I was wondering what your game plan was if u ran out. I didnt finish the video but guessed u bought an lmg went to that room and swapped it for different weapon off the ground so you had 300 extra bullets layin around. Great Massacre!

We used Bandicam for this video. For most of our vids we used Fraps, but we switched to Bandicam for the last couple of vids.
Great vid and very helpful only problem is you run out of ammo at high levels

@backwardsman102 We tried placing sentry guns in the room but they won't fire if someone is in the doorway, even if the person is lying down. If they did it would make things incredibly easy.

Sentry guns die almost immediately when helicopters arrive (every 3rd wave). You can put them in the corner where I sat and it wont get hit, but it also can't hit anything.
the striker does seem to be stronger against Juggs, than regular soldiers. But I play solo, and like you said......I've never seen close to round 100, but I know they're useless against regular soldiers, as soon as the FAD guys show up.......GOOD vid.

And that's why i recommend no c4s during that strategy, or plant it as a trap, after killing the dogs :), AMAZING EFFORT, i know this kind of waves take a LOT of time, because i played those ones :D

Yeah, i figured they kept a spare LMG in teh room for back up, nice idea, though when i tried it myself i noticed the dropped weapons disappear after a while, so theres a big risk of losing ~10000 worth of an LMG with all the upgrades

Good strategy. The mode is called "survival", you survive how you can. (except of hacking/glitching)

The 2nd player was blocking the enemies from coming by the door. So if the 2nd player died the 1st player could revive him with protection.
How long have you been playing this map? two days??? :D

Drop one of the lmgs you are using (eg the mg36) by swapping it with a FAD or other weapon in the door. Then just buy new lmgs and swap them out with your mg36. Leaves the new lmg in the doorway for when you need it.

@backwardsman102 It takes almost a full mag of Striker ammo to kill one soldier at wave 100...the full Striker mag does about the same amount of damage as a dircect hit from a predator missile, which at wave 100 is just enough to kill a soldier. Not really feasible when a full refill only gives you 60 spare rounds.

Theres a place in resistance where i camp its where the first floor has callapsed in that buildin and i wait for em to come i got on to wave 63
Good strategy
At wave 100+ it's riskier to move past the door than try to throw the C4 threw it. If you try to rush past the doorway to get to the other side of the room the juggernauts can hit you and you die incredibly fast.
The running around strategy I think is more exciting at least, and necessary at the higher levels 'cause you can't hold up in a building when the opponents become so strong it takes a full lightmachine clip to take one regular terrorist down. Unless you do two player and exploit this particular flaw. This strategy can't be used in single player, unlike the running around strategy, and requires a room with only one entry/exit and adequate room to shelter the player in the room.

Have one guy cover the doorway in claymores and guard it himself while you stand in one window and have a sentry gun and grenade sentry in the other window.

Hey, you could actually use this in bootleg survival. If u go to where the spetsnaz respawn, go left and hit the highway. On the left side of the highway, there is a counter with a small doorway, so if your teammate hangs on the doorway, gets killed, you can revive him, and the enemies cant get you! You can also help and hurt the enemies yourself a little. My controllers busted, so if anyone tries this out, please tell me :D thanks
Yeah, it's much harder than it looks. I've had some chats with a few people who have been trying this and none of them have gotten past wave 70. Most of them die to dogs that can bypass downed players, or because the player in the doorway goes down and juggernauts get through (tip: be careful when flashing juggernauts when the doorway player is down, they can stumble through a downed player).

You should have bought a Striker. You would be able to unload close up on the Juggernauts and it has a lot of ammo. Not sure how well it works on higher level Juggs though.
were u tired or u just dont know that throwing a c4 in front of enemies will fuck u up?
AFAIK it still works. It's highly likely it will always work as it's part of the core game mechanics (enemies not being able to walk through you).
Thats actually a really smart stradegy...although what i think you should have done is take out all the normal guys then pred the helicopters and then run around the map and pred the juggs. Shooting the juggs is pointless on those waves
