This song felt for me like a really well needed hug of Twice. I love the Mv and the message so much. Eventhough its upbeat but somehow and somewhat in the production feels so warm and cozy. and yes its the red string theory, Twice said that this song is about their long and now so strong bonded friendship.
It's also nice that whoever the director of the MV was aware of what the girls all went thru, seeing Mina and Jeongyeon the only members that wer anxious and looking out the window, looking out to the storm, being the 2 members that went on hiatus due to anxiety ❤ it jist hits home ❤
it was the same director as do not touch! i guess that's why the mv was so visually stunning

Jeong and mina watching out the window & seeing darkness is a metaphor for their uncertain feelings during their own health breaks. But just as the lyrics say, the members light up the flares even if theyre miles apart. Without a doubt, theyll make it thru cos they always got each other

after the storm, mina came up to the deck, thinking she was alone only to see the others were already there.
idk but it made me think of mina's hiatus, her doubting if she could come back, and jihyo telling her not to worry bc they'll go through it together as a group
at the begging of the m/v chae came and lay down snuggling in mina's arms,And this... we all know that Chaeyoung is Mina's safe place
I don't know but it's emotional when Mina starts the MV with her looking at the chaos outside the boat then looking at the members like that, then followed by Jeongyeon lines with "When I'm walking into the darkness, I know you'll be right there, lighting up the flares"

1- The red ribbon and red lines they draw on each other's fingers symbolize the red thread of fate. This means that people are destined to be soulmates regardless of place, time or circumstances.
2. Only Mina and Jeong watched the storm from the window because they were the ones who had been on hiatus. At the beginning of the scene, Mina saw a storm but smiled again when she saw the members.
3. The boat inside always feels warm even though there is a storm outside, which means that no matter how hard it is, they always feel warm and at home in each other's company. I think the boat symbolizes their journey where even though the storm hit them they were still able to get through it and reach a bright day saw the members.
