Don’t see what anyone could say was bad about you Gary. Keep choosing you because I think you’re definitely worth it. Old video so you won’t see it but thought I’d say it anyway. A few months ago I was done! With everything, couldn’t see a way forward I’m also 41 and think I was probably having a midlife crisis or something but then it was like a lightbulb moment, I walked out on my job and started over with my happiness at the centre of everything so now if I’m not happy I remove myself from it and I’m much happier for it. Thank you Gary. Because of this video I walked away from my emotionally abusive (now ex) partner. A few weeks ago, I was in floods of tears and logged on to youtube. I was looking to escape the nightmare I was in for a little bit and this video just popped up on my recommended. It was like a sign telling me, 'its ok to choose you.' I was so scared to walk away because I thought I was selfish to put my own mental health above someone else's. But your words helped to give me the courage to leave and I've never felt so free. So thank you lovely Gary, you are a wonderful person.
After I had my 2 mini breakdowns I found out who my real friends were. I struggle everyday and find I back out of meeting up with people as I just Don't have the energy. I love watching you videos as it reminds me I'm not alone. So from now on I chose me ❤

Your spot on Gary...I have experienced that more so during the pandemic. By nature Iam a giving person and I feel like its taken me along time to realise that I really haven't given to myself. I don't know of its out fear of being hated or what. I mean I would always give up my seat for someone else, I have never been one not to, a lot of people don't. It's the only analogy I can think of that describes how I feel. There are definitely times in my life I should have not got up and give my seat away. Take care 🙂

I’m 56 and after my lunatic sister hung up on me last week because I went out to dinner with my daughter , my son ( 26,22) her boyfriend and my husband fir her birthday I decided it is time to set boundaries. I’ve had enough of her yelling at me . The way she has a family , I do too . Never respected that , we all have to answer to her as if she were Queen Elizabeth, and we’re American 🤣

I’m in my forties as well and there comes a point where you just get tired of playing the game. If you don’t want to go somewhere don’t go even if it makes you look bad, don’t be afraid to be yourself. There’s only one you and like you said, you may have to live with your self for a very long time, enjoy it, love yourself for who you are. ♥️

They rang me back within an hour and offered me it 😭😁 felt awful about leaving other colleagues in the lurch, but I’m a single 33 woman and have to do what’s right for me!! Gary, it took me many years to learn to "Choose Me." We all have the little nitches we get lost inside of throughout our lives. Mine was different than yours, but yet somewhat the same. My earlier years were filled with heartbreaks of all sorts because of things I chose and situations with people who did nothing but pull me down. I grew up in the country and we were very poor and when I moved to the big city, I somehow needed to find another ME to fit in. I did nothing bad or against the law, but things I did not really like and people I really did not enjoy being around. My life continued like this for years. I then began to realize that I was not doing myself any favors by doing what I thought was expected of me and ignoring the things that simply made me happy and content with myself and MY life. It was so good to see you so happy and content and I hope this continues for you. 😥😁🧡

They rang me back within an hour and offered me it 😭😁 felt awful about leaving other colleagues in the lurch, but I’m a single 33 woman and have to do what’s right for me!!

Your absolutely spot on with what you said Gary, we do have to choose ourselves. And we have to love ourselves before we can love anyone else....you do absolutely right and you do what you have to do, I've also had to put a barrier up to put myself first.

A fantastic video Gary. I only wish my granddaughter came to this realization. No matter when anyone tried to help and tell her she was worth something it didn't matter, she left this world in her 23rd year. I miss her so badly, Your videos help me a lot.

Gary, it took me many years to learn to "Choose Me." We all have the little nitches we get lost inside of throughout our lives. Mine was different than yours, but yet somewhat the same. My earlier years were filled with heartbreaks of all sorts because of things I chose and situations with people who did nothing but pull me down. I grew up in the country and we were very poor and when I moved to the big city, I somehow needed to find another ME to fit in. I did nothing bad or against the law, but things I did not really like and people I really did not enjoy being around. My life continued like this for years. I then began to realize that I was not doing myself any favors by doing what I thought was expected of me and ignoring the things that simply made me happy and content with myself and MY life. It was so good to see you so happy and content and I hope this continues for you. 😥😁🧡
