    What are your meetings like right now? Are you team vide/phone or team in-person meetings?!

    Would it be possible for you to make a video of you actually doing a face-to-face (or virtual) consultation with a couple? You give great tips..but actually seeing your tips in action would really help!

      You’re not the first person to ask this! I’ll see what I can do :) thanks for the idea😄

    Thank you so much for sharing this info Joy!! I have a wedding consultation this Saturday and we’re meeting at an ice cream shop to talk things through and get to know the couple and their plan for their wedding day.

    Thank you for the video! If all goes well, I have my first wedding consultation video conference tomorrow and am excited/nervous!! In terms of moving on to next steps, when would one ask for like more of their personal information, cell phone number, address, etc. I always find that to be an awkward step you could say so it doesn't make me sound invasive but still wanting to get that information down for contracts, invoices, etc.?

      How did the consult go?!?

    • @Joymichelle

      I normally get their names, date, number, etc in the contact form. If I need to send a contract and don’t have their full names and I will let them know that “I would love to send a proposal and just need a few details to do so. Can you share yours and your fiancés full names? Thanks” or something along those lines

    I do think I should cut down on the amount of info I try to cover. I try to get all the details out for them and it might just be to much to fast. I like your thing about giving them a list and loosly going over it and answering questions if they have them but just leave it at that otherwise. And leave price till last u less they bring it up. Try to get them sold on the idea and experience before just hitting them with pricing

      That’s some great insight into your own process and where you might be able to make some small but meaningful changes to improve. I also think there’s a great deal of value in letting them talk, and leaving some silence

    Benefits on going through the contract? (I always disliked doing this part but is it helpful)?

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  Před 4 lety +1

      I don’t personally go through it with them, but I provide them a sample contract so that they can see it on their own time. I do ask them if they have questions about the agreement and sometimes they ask about copyright and such :)

      @@Joymichelle This is relieving to hear honestly, thank you! I like this idea more than taking 20 extra minutes reading each part!

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  Před 4 lety +1

      @@thehayleysofar Exactly, and I want the meeting to feel more like getting to know each other and focusing on the experience rather than a transactional experience. That's why I keep the discussion of the prices and packages pretty brief (and sometimes not at all)
