Glad you enjoyed it, it was definitely a surprise how good this show turned out to be. And yes, the villain was Livewire, even if they never outright called her that (and made it a joke at one point, with her interrupting Slade before he could say what her alias was). They confirmed her name is Leslie Willis in the show itself, and now she's got electricity-based powers, so it's definitely her. Really weird to see her origin being something completely different from what it usually is, though--her more well known background in both animation and in the comics was a radio personality / shock jock who hates Superman and blames him for her transformation, so, her being a professional thief / arms dealer is definitely an odd choice.
This time around it looks like it was the suit itself that gave her the powers once Slade damaged it and caused it to overload, it wasn't containing her powers. You can also briefly see her looking at it in the first episode (it's in the crate she closes when Badger comes up to panic about the job, at the warehouse), but apparently things weren't desperate enough for her to actually put it on until the second episode. Which makes sense, since by that point she knew there was a shady government agency after her *and* there was the added problem of Superman on top of it all.

I think near the end of episode 1, when Clark's powers unlocked 🔓 further, his black eye and other injuries healed themselves, possibly his invulnerability or something like that 🤔. I think that the lasers that the robots were firing were a bit like red sunlight (specifically the planet Krypton's sun, which, in this continuity, seems to have used to have been a yellow sun but was forcibly/artificially turned into a red sun) which has effects similar to Krytonite 🤔😓 either that or it's just because he hadn't unlocked his invulnerability yet 🤔. Krytonite is usually a green glowing/irradiated crystal substance which, naturally, is some of the remains of Clark Kent's/Kal-El's home planet (and other surviving Kryptonians). Interestingly, I've just now learned that, in Kryptonian, "El" means "Child", and "Kal" "star". So the name Kal-El means "Child of the Stars" or "Star Child" 🌟, which, either way, is fitting, don't you think 😉?

Here's why the glasses-as-disguise trope doesn't bother me. I was at the Waffle House today, and there was a server who looked like Jennifer Aniston with glasses; therefore Jennifer Aniston has a secret identity as a Waffle House employee.
I wouldn't be surprised if people occasionally noticed that Clark looks like Superman, but they don't think anything of it. Especially if Clark doesn't act at all Superman-like, for example in this show or Tyler Hoechlin. If you haven't seen Tyler's version of Clark, do check it out; he seems exactly like a slightly nerdy dad and you'd never think he was Superman. Or at least I wouldn't. Maybe you wouldn't be fooled.
