- This is my first attempt to read the story - as always, in one go. This is an original story from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Hope you like it - I certainly enjoyed reading this one. Sorry for the mobile phone noise interrupting the recording at one point. Need to remember to turn the bloody thing off when recording. :-) Maybe one day, I will cut and paste a corrected part in there. - Hry
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank u. Some of those stories i had never hear! And it was quite delightful. Ur readings are wonderful and do them justice in all accounts that matter. There is getting to be fewer and fewer audios I can hear, as my hearing diminishes. This reader is going into my favorites, I can hear every word! I only see 9 Sherlock audios,, by this narrator, so far
I find your recordings very entertaining any plans to add more?
atually yes - I am working on a new one at this very moment :-)
I love the picture which I think is "Liverpool from Wapping" by John Atkinson Grimshaw.
+Joy Hancock Indeed you are correct, sir - that is the name of the picture.... I love it, too..... always reminded me of Victorian London.... I was actually rather shocked when I heard it was actually Liverpool :-)
Very good
You need to check your pronunciation of: chagrin, gaol (jail), and a few other words that really grated. But I loved all the voices, they were all well done.
The pronunciation of words is done in the old English. Take note.
Father from Sussex. Movies from Liverpool. Sister from hell. 👋

Chagrin/Prussian/Gaol…….? pronunciation
The fellow narrating sounds like he is going to drop dead any minute. It is hard to listen to. He is SO short of breath.
