- This video will cover the so-called advanced functions, or flying modes of the selfie drone Wingsland S6 and the video quality of the on-board 4K camera. The tested flying modes are GPS hold, follow me mode and circling around a fixed point mode.

Now you see that pisses me off that people have been whinging that your videos are too long. I'd tell them to shove it as we Aussies day. You are no longer than any other drone reviewer out there. Dustin Dunhill's reviews are all much longer than yours and I enjoyed your detailed, technical reviews. My advice is to be yourself and ignore the trolls. The majority of your viewers will appreciate the differences that make you unique. Well done on this review. As always, you have my thanks.

Awsome! I just want you to keep doing what you have been doing so well! Be yourself and don't worry what anyone thinks and then it'll all be fine! There will always be people who think they can do better. The internet is full of knockers! But your reviews are awesome and you have a fan base that will stick by you and I am one of them. For one thing, you seem to get your hands on new models before anyone else. Perhaps being based in China helps, and perhaps your contacts are better too, I don't know, but I love the results! :-)
+John M Edmondson, its a tricky balance, I normally aim for 15 minutes but even that is too long for most viewers. Average view time is around 6 minutes and so I generally now split unboxing and flight test videos into two to avoid them being too long. But like you, I enjoy watching a longer video if its concise like this one.
DroningON.co Hi DroningON.co I've watched some of your vids and you produce good stuff too, but I think each producer has a unique perspective and style to offer that should be respected on its own merits. Drones Visual produces videos quite unlike anything I have seen anyone else do, and his reviews are both concise and to the point. He often gets access to drones before everyone else seems to, which I guess is logical with him being based in China. I don't want to lose those more technical and comprehensive reviews that he does that are so insightful and often amusing. If they weren't I wouldn't watch them. I guarantee that if it was a model being reviewed that people were seriously interested in buying, they'd be clamoring for more, not less review time!
Just ignore the ADHD-cases not having the patience to watch somebody's hard work to explain detailed things on gadgets costing several hundred pounds. I like to scroll through a video to find the parts I am interested in.

hey there, I'm interested in getting this drone for my holiday to Greece. While I'm there I won't have 3g/4g connectivity while I'm out and about filming, will this affect the flying of the drone?
Hello. No, this won't affect flying the drone, as it uses an internal GPS and it communicate with the smartphone via WiFi. Cheers.

There will be a hardware transmitter from wingsland, but it is nowhere available yet. Do you know any hardware transmitter that maybe works with the s6, or have you tried any. Thank you - very good review btw.

I'm pretty sure 4K on this drone is unstabilized and dropping the quality to 1080p would fix the shaking problem. Yes the drone can record in 4K but to me it's more like taking still shots in 4K

Hello and thanks for asking. No, I have not tried because it still requires to be connected to a minimum number of satellites before flying. To fly indoors they would need to unlock the standard flying mode, which is not available in the APP yet. Cheers.

Hello again .. in as far as usage of this Wingsland S6 Drone .. we travel (cycling) to many destinations .. so primarily I will be using 360 (circle me mode) .. as I am responsible for videos & photos during trips .. I will also use follow me when possible .. I assume in future software updates some of the issues U mentioned will be addressed .. what do U think .. ThanX
Hello and thanks for asking. Yeah, I would like to send you some raw footage and photos, if you are happy with the quality, then then you can go for it. I will try again to record video in full HD with stabilization instead of 4K, see how it comes out, then I will try to stabilize myself the 4K footage I recorded previously. Firmware upgrade might fix some issues, but you should not bet on that. Cheers.

Dobby has a better video stabilization because of eis only advantage of s6 is in the future you can use the r6 controller when it becomes available

If I remember correctly when shooting 4k the image stabilization will not work. I find that while in beginner mode my S6 doesn't do well in wind. I think it is because the speed is restricted so much. At 0 degrees Celsius my battery lasts 3 or 4 minutes.
Hello and thanks for sharing. Interesting, so at 4K image stabilization might not be engaging then. My impression was that it could keep its position during windy conditions, but flying it's a bit hard indeed. I want to do a battery test in my next video, 3 to 4 minutes seems a bit too short. In the sub 250 gram category, how does this compare with Dobby? I understand that a controller is soon to be released. Does S6 have shorter battery life than Dobby? S6 may be lower on decibel level?
Hello. I have scheduled a comparison video. There are rumours about a controller coming out soon, but it could takes ages for it to hit the market. Regarding the battery life, it's rather short, about 5 to 6 minutes. Cheers.
Hello. I bought a wingsland s6 just a few days ago. For some reason my drone does not allow me to change the speed of the drone. The follow me mode and the circle mode do not work either. Is this because it is from an IOS device?
Adam Thrower Adam, the software version that is currently available is restricted. You can operate only in beginner mode. That limits your speed and some intelligent functions do not work. There is supposed to be another update for the drone software around Christmas. Then everything is supposed to function.

Hello, this is the latest version available. I have not tried any Bluetooth joysticks, might attempt that later. There will be a module with sensors sold later, that can be added to the mount on top of the drone. Cheers.

It's the latest version of the drone, but Wingsland will probably continue issuing firmware updates until everything becomes available. Cheers.

Hello. Yeah, there should be no problem. Just make sure you get at least 3 batteries, because of the flying time is around 5 min per battery. Cheers.

Dobby is better only advantage for s6 is now you can get an actual controller they call it r6 controller from wingsland

Battery life is a huge negative
My biggest complaint is a two part complaint, battery life is far too short and it takes far too long to get it ready to fly with the controller. A third complaint would be that the controller loses its connection to the quad way too easily. I really like the form factor of the S6 but is pretty well useless to shoot video with, maybe stills but video is not usable.

Most of the features in the app do not work. And you get no help from wingsland or szsungreen.com

This drone seems to be still in 'pre-production' stadium, the app needs probably still some improvements, and surely is missing an English interface...😬😬😬
i'm like this model. But don't have good stabilization. .... I wait other video tutorial and upgrade with goos video, no important 4k - is good full-hd with right stabilization . Compliment for channel and support ;-)

Drones Visual I had the same sort of issue, I found also that you habe to connect the light with the drone off, then turn it on :)
Good video about a real rubbish drone. I have one, and it flies like a brick. The batterie lasts about 5 minutes max, when it is new. After a few flights I only get about 60 seconds. And yes, I know how to store LiPos. 4K is a joke too. This thing really sucks, big time!
I suppose that you are a middle-east person because your English language sounds like someone from Iraq.I have the same drone, and I think is okay for beginners, but you can find a better in other cities in China.
Please Stop tapping on the object as a lot of videos that does not help and it's very annoying for many people
I will say that I only paid $40 dollars in China. The quality is okay, but don't pay more than $80 for this crappy drone.
