I usually just clip the earrings as close to the doll as possible while pulling it taut. They come off with enough of the bar that you can use them elsewhere. Just push the little nib that remains back into the head. I personally can't wait for the pink extra-fancy, but the blue floral looks like my kind of extra. I'm going to be broke when Jane Goodall and the new Looks dolls come out.
As a collector I could see why some don't do that but if it's a doll for a kid or someone who doesn't collect they can do that as long as it's not any older doll or one worth quite a bit of money.

I heat the head then I can remove the earrings and trim off the hook without losing any length, I would just like to see them designed to be removed 💕

I think the Barbie Extra Fancy Dolls are very pretty. The one with the Teddy Bear Outfit is giving me Princess Care Bear Vibes.

Here's a suggestion on the Barbie pets. Use them as stuffies in your settings. Use other things you like better as pets. I personally love making needle felted animals as pets.
Those are some nice suggestions; I was just thinking she could build a pet store or an animal shelter.

My brother tried to put a barbie earring in his ear in the 90s and he ended up needing surgery to get it out so that's sorta a reason they decided to make them unremovable

If you pull the earring out and cut it off close to the dolls head, when you remove the head the end of the earring should pop out and you have removable earrings ✨

I like the Barbie extra fancy doll. She has a real pretty face and I love her hair. The dress is cute but the glitter straps and belt make it look cheap. The cost should be the same as the regular extra barbie too!

I disagree. While I like the made to move body when you have clothes that fully cover tbe joints, the articulation on these dolls displays much better for short sleaves and dresses. I am glad to have both and the choice.

Was it just me or were the "teeth" on the Barbie Extra the lip color?
I agree with you 100% that at that price point these dolls should be made to move and have more accessories. At very least, "pets" that are more realistic and not so "cartoony."

I love the fashions these dolls have and most of the accessories. Definitely can live without the pets. It would be cooler to have three or four sets of mix and match earrings. I'm not a fan of unrealistic lip colors. I know real people have fun with crazy lip color, but they're not stuck with it forever. I feel like it limits the fashion choices for the dolls unless you're willing, and skilled enough, to do a repaint. I do really like how they're doing painted edges on some dolls. It gives a really pretty effect.
I would use the unrealistic looking pets as stuffies. They make cute stuffies, don't you think? Especially with some of their fantasy-type accessories.
