Hi! Just a little info for you, the rice cakes are not tteokbokki, tteokbokki is the name of a dish they are in, but tteok means rice cake, what you added specifically are garaetteok! Also mirin is not the same as rice vinegar, mirin is a sweet alcoholic rice derivative whereas rice vinegar is non-alcoholic and is more bitter and tangy than mirin. I'd hate someone who doesn't have alcohol for whatever reason to accidentally use mirin thinking it was the same as rice vinegar. Hope this info helps!
Oh boy I so confidently assumed the wrong things here! Iâll add the right terms to the recipe notes in the description. Thanks for telling me!! :)
Already knew that
omg yes!!!! a freezer/pantry staples video would be so sweet too
I want to see a "subscribers decide what I eat in a day" with themes
example: green veggies edition, asian edition, Portuguese food edition etc
that's such a good idea!!
Just tried the soup :) Was really delicious. Had a german twist to it, because I only had sauerkraut in the fridge and no kimchi đ
haha clever! you should have added paprika for the spiciness then lol
The recipes look lovely :) Please just remember to not boil your miso paste, it makes it lose all it's nutrients!
German Miso is mostly pasteurized anyway... unfortunately.
whaaat đą i didnt know this! thanks
@@symbiosis9342boiling also makes the miso lose some of the flavor
It's mainly that the miso gets bitter if you boil it, that's why you should only stir it in once it's off the heat
thank you so much for this comment, I was doing it all the time XD
As a French tutor, I find it really cool that you are learning French đ
hi!! love your videos so much. just as a request for 2023, do you think you could try out foods from studio ghibli movies? I think you'd do so well executing the flavours and visuals aha
This would be amazing omg
Heyy, I'm not sure if someone has said it before, but the RIcecakes are just called Tteok and Tteokbokki is just a dish you can make with them :)
Oh gosh I did not know that đ thanks for teaching me haha
Your cats are beautifulâ€â€
loving the simple/easy meals
Thank you for your video ! I live in a very rural part of Europe and its impossible to make typical '' easy '' meals I see on youtube, but yours inspires me a lot x
Got your cookbook for Christmas, I'm so excited to try the recipes during this new year. So far I have to say - I love it! Looks so good!
You are so original with your flavors!
These all look AMAZING đ
I've made the Miso Pasta twice now and it's soooooo good. I've fried leeks in sesame oil and garlic to mix in instead of spinach, and then roasted squash and carrots the second time. Both perfection. Thank you! đ
7:30 not me also eating in bed when this popped up đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Iâve been watching you for years and you stay being my fave food creator. Happy new year iâm excited to keep cooking your recipes đâ€ïž
I would love some meal-prep and freezer friendly food ideas.. I love your videos but am struggling a lot with continuously making and eating enough food bc of disability âčïž
hi there! whenever i make pasta sauce (tomato, bolognese or any other) i just make A LOT as itâs not really more of an effort and then freeze the leftover sauce..while defrosting the only thing you need to cook is the pasta or noodles but you can also have the sauce with bread..i also tried freezing soup (potato, pumpkin, vegetable, any broth,..) and it works great! you can also freeze already baked cake (in slices) and defrost it in a toaster/pan. there is definitely more but i hope this was at least a little helpful:))
Also, if you donât already, slice your loaves of bread (like a whole grain sourdough) and freeze it. Take a slice out at a time and toast it for dipping in frozen soups, etc. like stated above.
My favorite fridge friendly thing to make and keep on hand is chickpea salad! I love keeping it in a mason jar in the fridge and spreading it on top of bread i toast.
Chickpea Salad:
1 can chickpeas
1/4 avocado oil veganaise
1 tablespoon of Dijon
Just smash the chickpeas and stir in the avocado oil mayo and Dijon.
Favorite uses are to spread on toast with everything but the bagel seasoning, use it in a sandwich with sliced lettuce and tomato, or dip with crackers.
You can add in different things like chives, red onion, etc.
Hope that helps!
I just realised that custard = pudding and I'm mind blown. Never knew what custard exactly is lol.
I got your book for christmas and did the chick pea curry From it and i loved it . â€ïž Thank you for making this amazing book
Mina you absolutely killed it with the rice cake soup broth! I put kimchi on just about everything but never thought to use it in broth - life changing tbh My bf (not vegan) also loved it, thanks for the recipes đ
Love your what i eat in a week, more of that this year please! ;) so much good inspo for the everyday life in there
Everything looks delish! đ
Love the recipes and THANK YOU for pronouncing "bruschetta" in the right way, you're awesome
Note to self:
Cacao choc chip porridge + tahini
Toast + tahini, dried fig + roasted borlotti
These look lovely!
As for future videos - I'd really love to see more breakfast videos, especially since I'm back in my Oatmeal/Semolina porridge era and I run out of ideas very fast lol. This sort of vid would be so nostalgic honestly đ
Yes always want breakfast ideas!

I would love to know more about you! Your personality, your hobbys, your book recommondations and of course more foooood đ§Ą
Hi Mina! Your book is absolutely amazing in every way! I'm not vegan, but after making lots of your recipes I definitely want to switch to a vegan diet. When I watch your videos it's like i'm watching a mini film (thanks to your curated editing skills) BTW, new videos I'd like to see are recipes that don't require an oven, food processor & blender.Maybe that's too much to ask for đđ€đ
if your learning french bon patron is a great grammar checker and helps getting used to the complicated grammar.

I've been interested in vegan recipes since I suffered from Ibs, and your video has helped me a lot. Thank you for making amazing videos.
heyy! i got ibs too, it might be an idea to look into different cuisines! my mains are vietnamese & thai, but i can definetly have italian foods if i go glutenfree for the pasta. If i can help more lemme know!! my main lesson has been; the more time my food gets the better. thus, cheese that is 40+ i can handle better then others, same with bread that has had TIME. (:
Me too! I am vegan for animals but it has helped my ibs so much
I was waiting for your video
Thanks for waiting đ„ș hope u enjoyed it!!
The UNHhhh clip is killing me đđ
Thanks for the vlog, I enjoyed it.
I am a long time vegetarian, and I am trying to transition to Veganism. I love dairy sour cream and ranch dressing. What are your favorite vegan replacements for those two? Thanks in advance!
Oh, and a ranch recipe is to use the avocado oil veganaise (1/2 cup), 1 tablespoon on apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Add a little sea salt, black pepper, and dill.
Wow amazing looks too yummy delicious đ
Thank you Mina for another round of easy and yummy recipes! đđ and well done for the french! I mean it. Your prononciation is good đ keep up the good work! I am back to korean these days⊠yeah another hallyu victim here đđ€Ł Letâs do this! đȘ

Content wishes: what makes you the most happy, and brings you the most joy! I already admire your content how it is like Harry adores Watermelon Sugar - A mix of what you eat in days/weeks and of course some fancy videos. Especially the movie series are such a treat! đ€đ€đ€
Would love an updated cake videos maybe? or some ideas for (this is very random): popcorn, birthday cake, a video with recipes including weird fruits (maracuja!!! and dragon fruit for example?) and "heiĂe Wecken'.

Lots of Love! đ§Ąâïž

Mina rome: simple meals
Me: unfortunately anything above pot noodles is complicated for me
Great recipes! Thanks canât wait to try but careful, in the second recipe (miso pasta) you said Miso aka rice vinegar but itâs really not the same. Miso is sweet
Hey there thanks! I say Mirin, which is also not correct haha (although similar to rice vinegar itâs not the same)
@@Mina_Rome oups my bad, thatâs what I meant, « you say mirin in replacement of rice vinegar » but itâs not
@@mariannescheesepulls haha all good đ«¶
That orange sauce is almost identical to the copycat Panda Express orange sauce recipe.
i think eating in bed coulddddddd be a cry for help, but also can be very relaxing, especially if you are having some nice me time and selfcare
I agree haha
Is that VEGETA on 0:42?? Croatian product :)
I find it really hard to find vegetarian kimchi where I am! Did you make your own? How do you make sure it doesn't have shrimp paste/fish sauce in it?
The one in the video I found at the store, in Berlin itâs fairly easy finding vegan ones. I made my own kimchi once and it turned out pretty good - however it is a bit of a project takes at least 2 weeks! Iâll add it to my list of recipes to film tho đ«¶
Referencing Unhhhh.....I WILL BE A LOYAL VIEWER FOREVER
How about a video about German food? A special dish for each Bundesland oder so đ€
plant based diet is perfect for no cooking quick healthy cheap nutritious meal
Hast du eigentlich studiert oder eine Ausbildung o.Ă€. gemacht?
why are you not just showing the recipes anymore:((((((
hey there! i thought including a bit of a vlog / life element would make this video more engaging :) but if that's not your cup of tea that's okay, you can use the chapter function to skip between recipes. hope that helps!
Great video, Mina! We featured your video on my website this week in our "Concessions" area. Link is in my bio!
