- In this video I talk about custom firmware for the Flipper Zero, and I walk through how to install the Dev build of the Xtreme Firmware. I also show how to use the BLE Spam feature of the Xtreme firmware, which can make both Android and iOS devices virtually unusable and can completely lockup iOS 17 devices.

I would have a question if someone could help me. If you change firmware but had rfid and other stuff saved on your device, are does lost? Or can you like, remove the sd card, install new firmware and plug sd card back in to save them...?! 🤔

If you update the default from where does that overwrite all the other firmware that you’ve downloaded and placed on the Flipper zero? Like does it set it back to factory default and have to start over with all the other stuff?
yes I believe so. I have read about people dual booting multiple firmwares on the same flipper so they keep everything, but I haven't tried that yet.

when the ble spams a phone. will it interrupt someone talking on speaker of interrupt the video coming from there speaker? So you can shut down people using phone with no earbuds
I haven't tested that specific case, so I'm not 100% sure. I don't think it would on most phones though since it would only be requesting to pair a device and not actually pairing it. I think it would probably interrupt the call on iOS 17 though since it completely locks up the phone.

I had Xtreme installed in my FZ; somehow I couldn’t see "BLE Spam" under bluetooth.
Did you install the dev build or the main release? I don't think that feature has been officially released yet, so it's only available on the dev build.

No. Unleashed is a different firmware. The BLE spam feature may be available on that firmware as well though. I haven't checked it recently.

it's not in the official release yet. you have to get the dev build. I covered that in the video.

I believe you only have to turn off the bluetooth scanning on android.

Unless you are actively using Bluetooth you should turn it off.. why do 99% of people think well I gotta leave it on because its more convenient to do that.. I can assure you, it's not all that much more convenient to leave it on. Battery drain, vulnerabilities, no thank you. Same with wifi, if your not using it just turn it off for crying out loud. Everyone wonders how I can just leave my phone around and forget it, come back 3 days later and it's got over 10% battery left... and the answer is because im not suckin juice like a child.
lets be honest most people turn them off anyway unless you are walking around with ear buds on you wont be able to be attacked by this feature
@@DTAGAFFA most people turn it off anyway? Uhm 10 out of 10 people I asked in person have told me they do not turn wifi or bluetooth on or off ever. Their phones had it enabled by default and they didnt mess with anything. Maybe thats just more common here in the midwest. I imagine west coast or east coast probably obsessed over turning that off more anyways.

The installation stops, this error appears in the log and "updating" appears in the flipper. Is it correct?

I haven't seen that error before, but I found this post where someone had a similar issue.

Someone suggested that it might be an issue with the cable. The person who posted it also said that it worked after rebooting. So maybe try rebooting, and if it still doesn't work try a different cable.
I managed to resolve this. Thanks. Apparently the problem was with the SD
