    I love, love patterns. Sadly, I never went down the route of design in life because I was told that one can’t earn a living in this area. Obviously, House and Garden (& other You Tube videos) have shown that a career can be made doing what one is innately good at. It’s wonderful you followed your heart, and yes, your prints certainly bring joy. Thank you : )

      @@solarydays Wrong. Many MANY artists are led away from doing what they love by their elders and peers. That doesn't mean they aren't "fit for this life", it means they just haven't found their voice yet. Sadly, some never will. You make it sound like every artist has to fight against the grain or they won't make it, which simply isn't true. Many are born into families with artists in their heritage and are ENCOURAGED to live this type of life. Those are the lucky ones.

    • @ritatocta7583
      @ritatocta7583 Před 4 lety +10

      @@solarydays no, not all. I know a lot of artists and most have parents who were an artist or in the art field or some kind of strong support even financially. Most families will take debt for their children to study "secure" fields like law or medecine but in the arts you need suppport too. I have a friend who has now his paintings in famous European museums and he used to paint on the street. BUT although he painted on the street he was heavily supported by his rich father otherwise he wouldn't eat or have a place to sleep. Materials also cost money. I'm not saying it is not possible but don't dismiss the power of the people around you to naysay something specially in your formative years.

      CZcams counts likes. You can dislike but it won't show the number of dislikes is not made public. However, if you look at number of views and the number of likes you can guess/subtract to find the dislike number. Some don't dislike. I disliked it on my account. Then I used a friend's CZcams account and it didn't show my dislike. Makes one think to be part of the group you should click on the LIKE button. It's misleading in my view. I understand CZcams alleges that some were hitting the DISLIKE on political videos or other videos just to cast doubt and be mean. I think it's silencing those who disagree. I look at this video and the LIKES and assume that everyone likes it and what is it that I'm not getting. I don't like or dislike the video as a whole. I enjoy parts but .........
