    With some surprise guests....
    A big shoutout to these two videos that helped me a lot to understand D'N'B:

    Hope you enjoy this video, cause I put a lot of effort on it (during two months) I think the cumbia one was better though.

    What an awesome video - from the tutorial aspect to the fantastic animation and editing. Thank you! I do have one question regarding chaining of the patterns. At 3:25 you are chaining pattern 1 (three times) and pattern 2 (one time), but it looks like you are holding the pattern button down while pressing buttons 13 and 14. I’m not clear on how chaining works and would love a quick explanation.

      This really was a great tutorial you uploaded. The programming can be applied not just to the Pocket Operators.
      I usually like to use breakbeats, but it's also fun to program drum sequences, or even put them together with the breakbeats, well, that's the plan this time!
      Thanks again for this gem ❤🤜💯💯💯☮️😎✌️

    The official demo's were quite lackluster, but after seeing this video I might have to pick one up!
    I already own the PO-14 Sub. If I use the drum machine it has built in and change Parameter A I can tune the drum sounds (you're basically stretching the sample) and if you tune down far enough you really mess up the samples and get very weird effects. And parameter B boosts volume and gives it a little drive. I assume you can do the same in the PO-12?

    • @rodrigomacias
      @rodrigomacias  Před 6 lety +2

      More or less. You can mess around with the samples to get very weird effects too, but there's no way to control the volume of each sound directly. Instead, the knobs modify other parameters like attack, decay, release (talking about amplitude) the filtering or the thickness of the sound, resulting on a quiet or loud sound per percussion. Still, it's one of my favorite pocket operators (I haven't try the tonic though, maybe it's better). What makes powerful this pocket operator is its polyphony.
      Thanks for watching! :D

    That at the start was not the Amen break, it was a drum pattern someone made after chopping up the Amen break.

  • @phonkyfeel1
    @phonkyfeel1 Před 3 lety +5

    Just saying...that's not 🚫 the Amen Break at :30...the Amen drum break is not simply a pattern of hits that occur at the right times. The Amen Break is played originally by George Coleman and his drums, which make a very particular SOUND, and pattern. Sorry to be critical. I do think your video is helpful 🙂 but a bit off-course in labelling it as an Amen drum break. I would just say your drum break is a dnb tempo funky drum break that is 16th note based. Good video though.
