La Marmotte 2017

175km Bicycle Gran Fondo in the French Alpes. Huge event with over 7500 participants. Certainly a test of strength and willpower with three huge climbs of the Col du Glandon, Col du Galibier (incl. Col du Telegraphe) and finishing on L'Alpe D'Huez. My time 11hrs and 16 mins 189th in age category male 60-66yrs.

Excellent video Peter, you got it just right, not endless dribble all about your sacrifices, just straight to the point video from start to finish with a lot of good pointers, one of the best I’ve watched in the event. I’m doing it in 2022 so for me very informative

Peter Kemp got baked alive! 32c riding up the Telegraph and not much cooler on the Galibier. There were bodies everywhere. But saying that I loved it. 👍🏼

We Aussies always overtake on the right?!!? I think it is OK to overtake on the right if there is plenty of room. Many of the riders are doing it. The 100 Cols is great. I did it in 2015.
