A waste of money - they barely lived in the house a year. . . now, 35 years later she's calling for the house to be torn down. My how times have changed.

She did a good job of decorating it; and, would'nt you like to have Jo Clark as PM today.......

I believe the interviewer's glasses are the LARGEST GLASSES I have ever seen...on ANYBODY. Wow. And it's true - even with the 'low-budget' renos done by Maureen and Joe - the building is a drafty, moldy wreck at this point (2023)...It needs a completely new heating system, roof, insulation, windows...basically might as well tear it down and rebuild a new building...But, hey...it 'is a popular tourist' destination...so...hmmm

Isn't that just the most Canadian thing ever huh? Leave it open to be influenced by whoever is in there. Meanwhile it's slowly deteriorating, mold, rodents, no repair or care or maintenance. Now here in 2023, it's become a garbage scow, and no one knows what to do with it!!!!
Doesn't that sound just like the state of this country? Sure does.
