Wow ! I've been doing my own gel nails for years and didn't know you could infil. I have been using this product wrong, my nails are always flat. Thanks for a great tutorial. Can't wait for my next change of colour to try out these techniques

Really interesting and informative video - my gel is always lifting after a week or so (sometimes less!) so this sounds good. Hate the soaking part though. Just something to note - the speech bubble tips in top left hand corner keep hiding the demonstration and we can't see what you're doing. Maybe something to consider for future to put it in the bottom right corner in stead?
For soaking off I got a fab product Aliver nail gel remover it’s in a blue bottle , buff slightly first then just apply like nail polish and leave it for about 5 mins ,the polish will just flake off .. love this it’s so easy

I just ordered 3 of these jars and hope they are going to be good. Last time I had bought a jar of builder gel but the nails always came off, also the brush was not a good quality. Many people tell me I have too much oil under my nail plate and therefore suffer from lifting. So I hope these 5 in 1 builder gels come highly recommended and are going to help.

if you have to use like 4 layers for longer nails then the bottle mustn’t last long? X

Takes forever to use this with nail forms for extension!
That's because it's primarily for overlay on natural nails and not really meant for extensions because its consistency is not so thick

I’ve done that before. I applied gel products over regular polish and it’s worked well. :)

No. Whole hand
Do you need to buff/file nail before the colour? Can’t you just apply the colour as if the builder is a base coat?

Yes - you can use our Builder Gel to extend the nail up to 1cm using forms x
I’m wondering if you could mix a tiny bit of a light pink or nude shade in with the builder gel for a sheer colour? Would that work or is it a bad idea?
They do two colours in 5 in 1 now. One is pink and the other is peach. Thats my next purchase !

Blue sky have a decent range. I’ve only used their colours though so idk how the base products rate
Does it make the natural nail stronger?
It does, yes! Mine have always been so weak and broke all the time and now they are strong and don't break but just remember to remove the gel polish correctly otherwise it can make them even weaker
The speech bubbles are a bit irritating covering the nail. They would sit better on the right. Hope to get a hand as steady as this one day!
Can you do this just on a bare nail to give more thickness?
Yes, I got this stuff last week and I’m using it on its own (well with a base and top coat) to try and strengthen and lengthen my natural nails.

So are these classed as gel nail extensions? Or are these just classed as Biab?
BIAB is a trademark of The Gel Bottle. Brush on builder gel I stage correct term here. Yes, it is technically a gel extension because this is gel (gel is the consistency of the product). There's gel which is soaked by acetone and there's gel which you cannot soak and have to remove with an electric file
When i wipe the builder gel with a polish wipe it looses its shine and goes matte/frosty any idea ?
I believe you need to add a gel top coat if you want it to stay shiny and glossy. :)

Do you need a under coat / top coat ?
You don't need to. We recommend to use it if your nails are prone to lifting xx
Can i use CND shellac over this builder gel?
you can, but Mylee's gel is actually so much better
Mylee gel is not better. I have used both the pink builder gel goes rubbery after a few days too.
What is the colour on Alices thumb nail?? I’ve been looking for a colour like that for ages

I’ve just done my first set of builder gel nails and they’ve started to lift after 3 days?! I did use a base coat though so would it be better without the base underneath?

Useful video but a real shame it was mainly out of focus so I could not see what was going on

@@Mollieselby It didnt make any difference what I did.I buy the pink now.Im experienced in nails,so its not the prep or the way I do it and I use all mylee products but for some reason the clear starts to go opaque on me.It almost looks like it has a fluorescent coating,its the only way I can describe it.Im wondering now if its the top coat that is doing it,as the pink also has a slight irridescent hue after the top coat but I actually like it over the pink,as it makes a very fresh looking French set lol.Its an excellent product though and stays on for a long time.
I was looking for answers regarding clear mylee 5-in-1 builder gel & opaqueness, as I had the same issue. Have you worked out why it happens? I’ve only just got it & used twice, I’m going to get a colour one next time.
Great useful video for a beginner but those comments in the top left corner are really annoying as they kept covering your nail and I couldn’t see what you were showing!
