Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on CZcams videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time CZcamsr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of CZcams, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

@@taylorlibby7642 That every point of contention most people have about it is from the prequels, while Herbert doesn't give specifics as to what was stolen which falls outside of the standard heroes journey structure.
The only similarities Paul and Luke have which lay outside of the standard hero's journey protagonist is that they are associated with a desert planet, and they are both biologically related to an antagonist. Those are neither specific enough to constitute plagiarism, nor were they original to Dune.
Both heroes lose their families? Standard hero's journey (known as the call to adventure). Both learn special powers? Standard hero's journey (known as the supernatural aid). Both topple an evil Empire? Standard hero's journey.
Btw, I actually love the Dune universe far more than the Star Wars universe, so this isn't coming from a bias of which I prefer. Star Wars was derivative, but not of Dune.
And if we look at Dune, we could easily come to the conclusion that the main story structure is derivative of Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence of Arabia tells the story of a man born into aristocracy, who goes to the desert, integrates himself into a largely nomadic group of desert folk (in this case, the Arabic local populace), and helps them fight a guerrilla war against an empire (the Ottoman empire) who are oppressing them, and together they help topple them.
Anakin: "I hate sand; it's coarse, and irritating, and it gets everywhere!"
Paul: "That's how worm-riders steer the worm."

George Lucas took a lot of inspiration from Dune novel: Desert planet with warrior tribes, spice, giant sand worms (sarlacc and crayt dragon), evil galactic emperor, chosen by prophecy boy becoming a villain, big fat criminal boss (Jabba - baron Harkonnen), mind control power...You can say Star Wars was the first adaptation of Dune.

There’s a really good book series called Wheel of Time and the author Robert Jordan took a lot of inspiration from the Dune books as well.

Uhm actually the fist Dune book came out 1965 twelve years before „A New Hope“ 🤓 so Star Wars did rip off dune (that’s irony btw. I think both series were great and did inspire great stories) (edit: read it in the most annoying Caren voice you can do)
