I see a bookshelf as declaring "I've read all these books" and so keep my unread books off my shelves. They are stacked against the wall, against the bookshelves, and even under the bed 😂 but never on the bookshelves. Nothing against you, Haley, though! You've got an awesome library, I like that you have a shelf just for unread books, and I love that you're tackling those 157 books!! 💙 Just my thoughts. 🙂

Aren’t you concerned that your books might get damaged? Especially under the bed? I only say that because there’s dust and stuff.. and if there’s no dust, that means a vacuum or broom could be beating up your books lol
I’m the kind of person that doesn’t even own unread books. I only buy them if I’m about to read them, and if I buy two (never bought more than 2 at a time) then I leave them both on my night stand until I finish them. Then onto the bookshelf they go ^_^
@@Seal_pup no, not really! There's room, and dust doesn't gather -- or maybe it's just that I rearrange them so much that they're not dusty 😂 When I've vaccuuming, I'm careful.

I have shelves for read books and separate shelves for unread. But I also do not separate series.. so those stay together anyway

I’m pretty sure Tress IS considered cozy officially. Hoid is a storyteller character from other Sanderson books (he’s mostly in Stormlight) and hearing an ENTIRE book from his voice with it actually sounding like him is part of what makes it fun for people. It’s so nice how polite you are when you don’t like a book 😂❤

i am a highschool student (first year) and I read my first novel-ish book in 2nd grade and since then Ive read 150+ books..now that I'm in highschool I don't get enough time for my self to read but I really want to continue this habit and watching haley motivates me to find time for myself to do something for my self
I feel like Yumi and the Nightmare Painter would be a good book to read if you're looking for a blend of Brandon Snaderson, high stakes, and romance.

Hehe to be fair, she admitted that it's a matter of personal preference. She didn't think that anything was necessarily wrong with Tress, it just had the atmosphere she wasn't necessarily looking for.
This year I've been picking arbitrary "themes" for each month and it's been helping me through my backlist so much! (March = green covers, April = flowers on cover, etc). Not every book has to fit but it's what I fall back on

I read Tress three times last year and (obviously) loved it. It helped that the story's narrator is one of my favorite characters from Sanderson (he appears in his other books).
I think the secret projects all benefit from being read as part of the cosmere rather than as true standalones

It's a pet peeve of me when writers write about their characters as writers, or working in a bookstore, or just anything related to books like librarians. Yes, write about what you know but man get creative!! Think outside of the box. So many writers writing about writing!! Just gets on my nerves. Ok, rant over. I love how excited you were to read this Emily Henry book. Grateful how it pretty much got you restarted into reading. You've given me many good recommendations so far very interesting reads. I throughly enjoy ur book content
really? I feel like we don't have enough books about writers. I don't see a lot around at all? A lot of us are very reclusive beings and the job is pretty isolating sometimes and we're always in our own heads, so it can get boring to read about for sure. I feel like we need more books about writers that are *well written* ....that's all. I feel like if it's done right it can be super fun. Writing about writing can get pretty creative if you try. Eg: The whole "writer falls into their own fantasy world and now has to survive there." That's pretty interesting to me. Or maybe not many people enjoy things like that..idk my tastes could just be different.
In Funny Story, I feel like it’s done so good because of her love for books is so so so relatable that there are just moments I want to hilight and quotes I want to remember. I can relate more with a character who is a bookseller or librarian than a mechanic or astronaut

I think the newer publications of binding 13 would be better for some because 1 the book is floppy, 2 words are easier to read (not as small print) and 3 I think Chloe Walsh cut out some things so it made it a quicker read. I love this series so much ! I'm currently reading Gibsie and Claire's book and have tabbed so much of it so far!

I don’t know if you’ve read these yet, but I totally recommend the Beautiful Creatures series, it’s kinda slow for the first 80 or so pages but after that it’s really good. I’m on the second book of 4 but my best friend recommended them to me and they are so good so far. Love you’re videos💗
