He hated when I would play, he'd rather I went outside. Aside from that, yes they had video games. We're literally talking about Tetris and Contra era here.. there was no Online Gameplay back then. Videogames then and now are 2 completely different styles and eras and are no where near comparable to each other. Our parents didn't get consumed by them because the market wasn't as big back in the day. Less demand.
