And the music, dance, lightworks - everything is so flashy, jarring and noisy these days that they drain the viewers emotionally. There is great power in simplicity - something that today's awards organizers have totally forgotten. A legendary singer singing a melodious song on stage to the music performed by a live orchestra - can there be anything more entertaining than this? But No! Today's organizers want buffoonery, double-meaning dialogues and high-octane dance on stage. Sponsorship, TRP and satellite rights are of prime importance now. Quality of entertainment has taken a backseat. All that matters now is sound and fury on stage... signifying nothing.
