Jay and Kay, the universe's most explosive crime-fighting and alien-wrangling agents, are back in this action-packed animated adventure series based on the smash hit motion picture. Kay (voice of Ed O'Ross) is the veteran MiB agent who's been around the block a few times and has seen things beyond human comprehension. Rookie Jay (Keith Diamond), a former NYPD cop recruited by Kay to be his partner, is enthusiastic, comical and cool. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.

This episode premiered right after the 90 minute Batman / Superman special on October 4 1997 :) we have a recording of it on vhs . We probably didn’t know how good we had it back then when it came to cartoons

MIB and Batman Beyond had such great intros and episodes. Both were dark, funny, and action packed. Man I miss those days.
I found a few old Beyond Batman cd's at the public library . Still cool to re-watch .

I love how J is climbing up to an alien creature that for all he knows might eat his face, and K is just on the ground like, "Its the only way he'll learn."~
Eventually, he DID learn, since he was able to become the senior partner, in the MIB movies, at least!
As a kid, I always wondered if MIB and Extreme Ghostbusters all set in the same universe because of the similar art styles.
Even Godzilla has that same style and these are produced by a Korean studio and Sony Television.
I didn't think that but I did wonder if some of the same artists were involved.
They have the same producer Jeff Kline so that would explain it.

@@GabePuratekuta I believe so, they were a cheap but very good car sold in fleets, so they were like THE cop car of the 1990s. And Taxis, and lots of other places that bought fleets of cars like The MIB.

The animation in the first season was beyond amazing.
Yeah. Both the animation and the voices were at their best in the first season. They dropped in quality during the second and third seasons.
I wish X-Files had an animated series, with the same vibes of this caliber, Godzilla has these same fibes
It's funny that I was a kid when I first watched the original MIB movie, I thought they were like the avengers. Now, I finally understand they're more like Intergalactic ICE.
As well as police with the Solar System as its precinct, and Earth obviously being HQ.

They’re an intergalactic law enforcement agency. A combination of the FBI, Border Patrol, Homeland Security (which includes ICE) and a touch of CIA.

This was such an underrated show, a great continuing of the movie
Oh, man. It always bummed me how the movies after it didn't have the types of plot the animated series had. Alien communities and businesses within Earth, the roaches' plots to infest the planet and get revenge, Agent Alpha, the Invasion of Earth... I understand the MiB films are comedies, first and foremost, but this is another Expanded Universe work that ends up with a stronger story than the mainline property.
That doesn’t make any sense because at the end of MIB movie agent Kay retired from the men in black And went back to his girl so how could Kay be back with agent Jay??

@@IAsimov agree with all of this. Lot of thought went into the plots and character dynamics. They definitely had more freedom to delve into the lore which was great. Tying the roaches getting revenge as a story plot was just perfection. Would make fans of the movie enjoy watching it all unfold too. I would have liked to see L in MiB 2 but at least we got to see her in the animated series and seeing the type of agent she would have been once recruited to the agency.

Dark and Edgy isn't limited to the 90s. Don't go romanticizing the past. It's all about what the networks choose to show to the public, if you want dark and edgy back you need to make it worth their while.

I feel like I remember this show got way better after they replaced K's voice actor and they let J be not stupid, I think it was after the second movie came out, and they had some really clever storylines after that

It's probably happened a time or two before, so, MOST agents at MIB USUALLY don't stress over it's happening, to them, or, someone they know! In most of the movies, they seem, in general, pretty chill on the subject if Death.
Well in this episode he's still basicaly fresh. Wouldnt really waste empathy on a Green Horn till they prove themselves more than "stopping a bug with help from arguably the Master Chief of the MIB".

This show gave me the creeps when i was a boy the whole comedic atmosphere from the movies fades away and this animated series just give that perfect creepy vibes and i loved it.

It's only murder if you're killing humans, OR, your own species! Hmmm, interesting, if an alien kills a human, who decides the case!? IS there even a case to be decided? In War of The World's, the Martians were killed by microorganisms we're basically immune to, so, if an alien fleet showed up on Earth, and, two weeks later, their home planet is told their ALL dead, who's at fault!?

The Sqralidans are like the Radams from Tekkaman Blade, they hold a big grudge to those who kill their kind.

I know well it is an animated series, but then again Agent J did get thrown around in the movies sometimes too.
I THINK it may be the suits which give them added durability and strength! Which could explain why they're so tough, and, apparently, strong! Might also be experience, which might explain why "J", is thrown around, regularly, and, why "K", is able to hold onto, and, fire weapons much bigger than a "noisy cricket", which THROWS " K" around, like a feather! These two possibilities, do explain a LOT!
