You can hear passages that must have inspired Queen, among so many others. The use of oohs and ahs are so beautifully executed. So smooth and subtle, but the song would be lost without it. Paul's voice especially is so varied, so dynamic.
But but but according to Mike Love the Beach Boys were sooo much better vocalists than the Beatles. Sure they were good but not quite the powerhouse of writing and producing that The Beatles were.
One of the best things about Abbey Road is that they literally could not have ended any more beautifully. Every time I hear Golden Slumbers, Carey That Weight, and The End - I think about how absolutely perfect those three tunes are. Not only were they a million times better than every other artist combined - they ended on “And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love make”.
@@rome8180 I disagree. While the end of the end is the perfect ending, I always viewed her majesty as the beatles' last corny joke. So so so so so so so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make. It made me cry.
Listening to this album entirely and paying attention to the vocals... you begin to realize that the band was fully aware and intent on referencing or lampooning their earlier style, particularly when they first debuted. The "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" in Polythene Pam for instance has to be a callback to "She Loves You", only the difference is, the composition and thematic nature of the song is much more advanced and progressed than just a simple love song. It's too bad Lennon didn't seem to think much about his catalog in later years.
Gynecologist that’s called double-tracking. The Beatles have done that since their early period, so it wasn’t because they were breaking up (even though they were) that Paul double tracked his vocals on that song. Besides, they harmonized a lot throughout this album
From what I understand they weren't even in the studio together. Same with the White Album. They all came in and did their parts and didn't hang around.
no wonder why the beatles is considered the best band in the world, all of their voices, especially paul's, are so dynamic, changing from smooth to raw, high and low vocals, amazing harmonies, songwriting, ugh
Have you never noticed the dynamic voices of John Lennon and George Harrison? A Day in the Life! And Something to name a few! Sheesh! No insults accepted here please!
I understand that when they went in to record the vocals for Because, Lennon asked Yoko not to come in to the session. The three sat in a semicircle and sang each part three times. Wow!
