If you need to complete your LT missions, this is the time. I believe WG wanted to make sure we are enjoying the new live events they recently added to some maps and Prokhorovka appears in rotation way more frequently during this patch, similar to Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, etc.

Today I have played 77 games. All light tanks. I have banned Himmelsdorf and Ruinber, don't have the third map I'm not willing to pay for WoT+. Zero, I repeat ZERO Prokhorovkas. Got Safe Haven like 11 times, 1 Malinovka. What a time to be alive.

It's possible that rather than the random event system being something that plays "on top of" the maps WG has actually just made multiple copies of each map with events, each with different timings on the event, and treats them like seperate maps - leading to repeats. They gotta treat them all as one for map rotating purposes or we'll get streaks of all maps with events.
It depends entirely on the implementation. It would be infinitely easier to assign each map a weight than to copy an entire map and have that extra space taken up on disk and in memory (partly).

I feel like manticore is like old mm Elc AMX , enjoyable on right maps but can work decently on most if u know it well
I have nearly 28 000 games in light tanks and I know the joy of teammates that can hit targets ....lol Now my best is only 13K assist but have broken 10K more then a hundred times with 1/3 of those being in my Evil 90

i played manticore for 80 battles i am at 78% cuz i havent played prohorovka more than once yet

This makes me think back of the Chaffee games of old, being t5 in a t10 game.
I turned off "Maps under development" as soon as I saw the same maps over and over again (I don't care much about Prokhorovka and LT's in general), but what pisses me off even more is the fact that I banned Ensk because I hate it but still keep getting it like once every ten games (or even more often) just because I have Encounter mode turned on. What is a point of banning maps if you still play on them way more often than any other map??
It literally says that it only in the menu that it only blocks standard battle. I don’t know why you expected anything else
they had micro patch today and probably changed something for that testing maps, now i do not get so much random events maps

I tried it today. Last week I played with LIS. 3-4 Porkhorovka each day. Today I played with elc (Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg blocked). Not a single time I got Prokhorovka during 4 hours gaming.
Skill playing lights is the closest to ASMR we're going to get.

This shit doesnt work at all, I have same maps blocked played 2,5 hours and didnt got not once Prokhorovka or Malinovka map, total BULLSHIT
Because the “maps in development” thing has been changed. They were testing the maps with random events so when that box was checked they would put you in maps that had random events more often.
Obviously that’s not the case anymore because random events don’t need testing anymore.
Prokh is best for lt's.. i had 18k with manti only spot dmg climbed to 94.95% and than ruinberg 2x in a row,himmel,ensk... And can u imagine i had 13k spot on paris with manti also 😂 have screenshoots somewhere

Well, after discovering this, I understand marking light tanks NOW, without having opportunity to exclude 3 maps or 4 maps is impossible. Another brutal example of pay to win principle alas this is unintentional. This game is becoming more and more trash, this is only light example. And see top leading content creator is enjoying playing Prochorovka three times in a row ..... bum bum bum bum go Skiiiiill go! No ofence I like your chanel very much.
