- Horses are made to supposedly dance or display their skills, to the beats of the dhol and other drums, at the Pushkar Camel Fair and the Rural Olympics at Kila Raipur in Punjab. However, the animals clearly do not like this treatment and circus behaviour that humans make them do. It does pass off as culture and tradition in many parts of India.

it is 100% animal cruelty. if you have seen the training methods and the harsh way they are handled during training you know what i am talking about. you can also see them tug harshly at their mouth, the bit used is also not very good,

For all those saying it’s cruelty, the horses are treated very well and are trained to high level for this procedure, the horses actually like it when you show them attention and cheer them on they start dancing faster 😂
No You are absolutely wrong horse dancing is abuse the horse is hyper flexed in uncontrollable and unnatural positions not only that they are using tie downs to keep the horses neck down they have nasty humongous bits in the horses mouth and even Chains on some of the horses back legs the horses aren’t doing it because of signals or training there doing it because if they move any other way it will hurt HORSE DANCING IS ABUSE and if you think there happy your wrong they have there nose flared out and every part of them is tense if you want to see similar similar to this that is not abusive liberty work and dersage are amazing.

The horses' problems are:
Your horses are afraid during their work because whips are used.
The horses are stressed when they lengthen their upper lip (see at 0:22). The movement ("dance") of this white horse is very unnatural - in the long run the joints of the forelegs will be demaged because horses are not made for this ridiculous "gait". I have to admit that the German show-jumping is bad as well: Hurdles/obstacles may exceed 1,60 meters and then bones of the horses' legs could break. Horses would make a detour (avoid to jump) when they live in the wild. At 0:14 >>>> The white horse is forced to move the head to the right and to the left - of course by pulling the rains. This means unnecessary pain in the mouth, and they n e v e r would do this voluntarily.
Another video: Horses (as well as all the other animals and humans) are extremely irritated when they can`t see what is going on and when they are forced to listen to the noise of the drummer.

sudo animal lovers from west or east won't ever understand this, these animals are raised by farmers like their own kids. They love them so much and don't beat them. Not sure how many people here knows, horses and cows (cow family animals) do cry for their owners and family members.

Horses are naturally very elegant in their movement, but this looks very straining upon the horses. Look how tight their necks are reined in! You can ethically train a 'dancing horse' but not like this.

And in other lands u call this piaffe and levade and so on. Cant see any cruelty, at least not in the footage. They do what they do. Remember, maybe the think that jumping, running, wester etc. is cruelty, cause they dont know it. The horses look highly concentrated, well feed and taken care of and the tricks they are doing... well u dont have to like them, but what difference is there if u teach a horse to jump, to make spins, or walk sideways and this?
And if it would be abuse they would whip the horse some times
