Brendan Foster Quartet - 16/05/24

Catch Brendan Foster alongside Benja King, Dom Machen, and Lachlan Alexander at JMI Live, where they'll be playing an eclectic mix of standards, featuring tunes from Herbie Hancock to Duke Ellington. Brendan and Lachlan will also be duetting over notoriously intricate melodies by Lennie Tristano and Warne Marsh.
Brendan Foster is an Australian vibraphonist and composer, who writes and performs primarily within the jazz sphere. With now two albums of original music to his name, Brendan is beginning to be in demand for his cultivated and characteristic approach to composition and improvisation. Brendan’s original music projects have led him to be a recipient of the inaugural Lynette Irwin MF Composition Commission. Recognised for his unique voice, Brendan continues to cover new ground, establishing himself as a rising figure in the Australian Jazz scene.
