The program has changed (gotten better) over the past 4 years. Each course has average of 3 project submissions, 2 peer review project, and average of 7 quizzes. Also, there are compulsory research papers and the curriculum has changed.
There is a course on Derivative Pricing. In fact, two courses: Derivative Pricing & Stochastic Modelling. The Stochastic Modelling course builds on the DP course. Each course is 7 weeks (8 weeks each for the Portfolio Management and Risk Management courses, 10 weeks for the Capstone)
It's great that you brought him on here. But so much has changed with World Quant. We have 10 courses now; very different from what he described and better organized. Each course also runs for 7 weeks. My question is how recognizable is his WQU certificate in the US - is it enough to get the job interview or i need to add something else? Thanks
Are live classes mendatory ? I'm already a student but have every other week free for this moment.. And can you rush the program, like going faster than expected?
Hi, i want to know how difficult it is to get into quantitative finance field from commerce background? Is it possible? It would be great if u give suggestions!
It is definitely possible. Lot of my batch mates were from commerce background. The only thing is you will have to work on programming and math skillset. But it is definitely achievable 💯
I am not sure. You should check out with lawyer. They will perfectly guide you about the green card process and if this degree fits in the consideration of advanced degree.
Do you think, the work load is the same on both side? In one of the videos of Dimitri bianco, one commented the pay is same in tech and quant nowadays (the video is 1year old). If the pay is same and worl load is higher on the quant side why should one switch? Please enlighten me if I am wrong.

I have the same question 😅. I am at ML632
In both takes of the entrance exam me and my friends scored 67, which makes me question the integrity of the admission.
Great podcast!!
Thank You 🙌
