About the red smoke: you may have noticed Val's saliva is also red. That's because it carries pheromones. When he blows them out as smoke, they influence those who breathe them in in. Through collaborating with Velvette, she uses his pheromones her widely produced "Love Potion", the same thing you saw Angel wake up next to in the penthouse, and that the one shark gangster put in his drink. We all thought Ozzie hated love potions for the already immoral stuff they cause in most fiction, but in this case is because they leaned even further into calling it out for what it really is, a magical roofee
Yep, I noticed that as well and it is a really cool design for Valentino.
Also when he licked Charlie in the episode. He was actively trying to drug her.
Grin mehat u even yapping about only known media by bane tyrany is a outdated 7 ywar ild failed crpg
That scumbags reasons for being permanently bound to the majority of the fandom Sh*t List just keeps piling up, doesn't it?😑
@@RockwellSocratese I think he was just being creepy. Not to spoil anything for the rest of the season, the kiss/lick doesn’t come up again.
that makes so much more sense! I was thinking it was blood at first, but I didn't have any reason to believe they were bleeding ("they" being Val and Vox because both of them had the streaks from their mouths). I think referring to it as a magical roofee is terrifyingly accurate
I wish more people would recognize that just because WE, THE AUDIENCE, know how terrible Val is, that doesn't mean Charlie knows. Angel has been lying to her this whole time, saying his job is amazing and he loves it and the only downside is that his boss is a little bit of a hardass about everybody working a few extra hours. She has no idea what she's actually walking into at the start of this episode
that's a really good point; I feel like the desperation on Anthony's face is telling that there's more to the situation than she understood, but my audience bias do be strong
@@NevaehEvol Yeah, you can definitely see the confusion on Charlie's face when he tells her to leave so insistently the first time, but unfortunately she's just so... Charlie?? That it doesn't sink in why just yet. She's too intent on seeing the good in everything to acknowledge all the obvious red flags
Probably even after that terrible first impression Val gives, she's internally like "No, no, dont judge. Just give him a chance" because she's a better person than I am 😐
The whole joke with Val’s eyes is a reference to the addict music video where you see him counting 3 of ten bucks 💀
totally slipped my mind!! very silly reference
I did not noticed that.
“He-he had like…3 bills, and it took him like 30 minutes to count it. His eyes are so ✨ShIt✨”
The fact that they refuse to refer to him as angel dust and use his real name instead after understanding the situation fully is so cute I’m dying!
jdjsjsjcnxj he deserves the respect ;;;;;
@@NevaehEvol that’s what I’m sayin’!
You notice that when husk talks about everyone he's not as harsh on Charlie as the others he sounds sympathetic
it's really sweet
Besides just being genuinely an adorable moment; I love the little detail of having Anthony recognize, and be able to accept, Charlie sincerely cares for him. He allows himself to be vulnerable, thanks to Husk's tough love bringing his walls down, and admit out loud he both knows her love and support are genuine and he isn't undeserving of it.
I think when Angel came on to Husk after dealing with Valentino all day & night, he wanted to be with someone he chose instead of someone who paid for him. He probably does like that Husk isn't drawn in like so many clients, but at the same time couldn't let any walls down and be the 'real' Husk was looking for until they both exploded in anger at each other.
I totally agree; Anthony has little to no control of what happens to him, so when he can choose, he seems to push things hard; I'm glad that they were able to come together and connect in the end
one of the random unlikely fan theories from "what a twist" sets, is that Niffty either was the one actually taking out overlords and Alastor just took the credit, or the two of them worked together on that and Niffty was the one torturing them while Alastor broadcast their screams. There is also this idea he doesn't actually own her soul, or the extremely unlikely what a twist that she owns his soul and is really one of the big bads in disguise or an avatar or proxy sent by them, Or Alastor and Niffty are both beholden to the same greater evil that controls both of them.
Not going to lie I would LOVE it if Niffty was somehow the one in charge
Can we appreciate Blake Roman’s performance in this episode? Like holy shit.
Seriously!!! That second “Yes Valentino” fucking gutted me. 😭
@@ashes3622 plus the whole scene of him telling Charlie to leave-- like you felt the way Angel wanted to breakdown with how his voice cracked! God Blake is so talented!
@@0Magicallywild0 YES!! omg and the way his voice pitched lower and his Italian accent go thicker cause he was so upset???? Holy hell!
an insanely talented voice actor to be sure!
If there's an episode of this show that deserves an Emmy, it's this one, IMO. Blake Roman killed it.
The mention of Valentino having shit eyes and taking forever to count only 3 bills was a reference to "Addict". In the car Val is slowly counting 3 bills.
I didn't connect those dots, that's so funny!
You know what the hardest thing to watch in this episode is? It's not seeing Valentino brutalize Angel (so badly that we hear his voice drop an octave and hear what he ACTUALLY sounds like), nor is it seeing Angel fantasize about being in a music video (yeah, all that shit you see flashing on the screen of his getting smacked around and screaming in agony? That's what's ACTUALLY happening to him). No, the hardest thing to watch is the meltdown that he has after Husk manages to penetrate the facade he's built up. It's the first time somehow has been able to see through his disguise and he can NOT handle it.
Honestly! Makes me cry every time I see it.
Anthony's entire arc is so gutwrenching. Blake Roman is doing a fantastic job giving us that raw emotion behind Anthony's vulnerability; my heart is devastated
When they are bound with ropes at 33:09, Angel's rope is chaotic and Husk's is neatly wrapped. Maybe pointing to the nature of their respective "owners".
Valentino being an emotional in-the-moment type & Alastor being neat/calculating.
Pretty sure its because Alastor has Husk's whole soul and Valentino only owes Angel in the studio not outside of it so its looser.
Actually Anthony’s ropes look like BDSM rope binding which does reflect the nature of his deal.
22:51 that’s because they *are* eyes. He’s got his main two and then the rest of them to make 8 like a spider. And 3 sets of arms (of which one set is retractable) plus his legs make 8 limbs.
After watching the whole season, I maintain that "Loser Baby" is still one of the best songs in the show.
I've seen a lot of reactors, like a _whole lot,_ who are genuinely surprised at Husk's singing voice, and I'm always like "You realize that's Kieth David right? He was Dr. Facilier? Sang 'Friends on the Other Side'? You're surprised that he can sing well?"
Angel's situation with Valentino is similar and opposite to Fizzarolli and Mammon/Asmodius. Angel wants to damage himself enough that Val won't want him anymore, while Fizz was running himself ragged trying to be perfect for Mammon because he believed Ozzy wouldn't want him if he wasn't.
Perhaps surprising to nobody, there are actually people on Tumblr who have completely misinterpreted this episode, whether accidentally or deliberately, and are claiming that it's glorifying abuse and that "Loser Baby" is a victim-blaming song.
I love the power scaling in this show. Anyone can be a threat in a myriad of ways. Magic, raw power, anatomical features, prowess, tech, weapons, ruthlessness, self-control, etc. All play a role in painting the individual pictures of every character.
It's been said a thousand times and I'll say it a thousand more:
"Poison" hurt me so "Loser, Baby" could heal me
ah, this is so real, sob
Giving Keith David a song was a brilliant idea. The man's singing voice is wonderful
In this particular situation, i feel like if Val ever does feel like Angel has deliberately destroyed himself enough to ware he's useless. Val is the kind of shitbag that instead of letting him go. He would just kill him out of spite.
I feel too many overlook Husk's last set of lyrics: It's time to lose your self-loathing. Excuse yourself, let hope in"
This is such a powerful message from Husk to Anthony, telling him that he can let go of his self-destructive hatred for himself. That he is ALLOWED to feel hope, that Valentino, or anyone for that matter, can't take that away from him if he doesn't let them. I can only imagine Anthony felt powerless for so long that he felt afraid to really hope for anything better. But Husk is trying to let him know it's okay to hold onto that hope.
I definitely didn't give that lyric the love it deserved this first listen through! it's such a powerful message and the fact that Anthony "ooo"s through it really reflects that he's still struggling doing exactly that
14:22 To Valentino or anybody else with that kind of power, _literally anything that isn't obedience_ can and will be seen as an *attitude.*
it's heart wrenching and infuriating to watch him push Anthony like he does
I was waiting for this one!
I have a lot of thoughts about Angel Dust and the layers of his character.
I think Angel uses flirtation as a way to have some control in the conversations he’s in. If people get too close to things he’s uncomfortable talking about, he turns on the charm and guides the conversation elsewhere. While I think he can definitely appreciate Husks ability to actually see him, I think that, up until Loser, Baby, he’s actually incredibly uncomfortable with the way Husk doesn’t fall for his act. He’s the first person that isn’t falling Angels defense mechanism, and it throws Angel off balance. That’s why he lashes out and basically implies that Husk is a weirdo for not giving into the persona Angel has on.
I also think that Angel is kind of clueless when it comes to boundaries and consent. Like, he understands the concepts, but I don’t think he realizes how important they are. Which makes sense since he hasn’t been allowed to have boundaries for probably decades at this point. It’s why the drugging his drink thing seems so little to him. He was so nonchalant about it. But I think he’s just used to it and doesn’t understand how fucked up it is.
I think you'd enjoy "Georgia Dow"'s video on Angel Dusk (She's a therapist who goes into detail on why he might act the way he does)
I agree fully with the first part but with the second part I think he likes to push boundaries, if he pushes boundaries with his fake persona and the other person decides to leave, it's not really him they are leaving, it's his persona. It hurts less, it's self-destructive. Which is why I find him opening up to husk so beautiful. Because he is trusting husk not to leave when he is being himself.
Angel is a character I can relate to on such a personal level. It's such a brutal but also heartfelt depiction of what abuse does to people.
that's such a painful weight to carry; I hope that having representation and inevitably seeing said representation get to serve some retribution and regain their sense of self brings warmth to your chest ♡
the color of the chains symbolize which sin the contract is under. minor spoiler Husk's chain is Green for Greed while Angel's is pink for Lust. Niffty's might be red if we se it.
Personally I think the chains are actually just in the colour of the respective overlord because Val's power colour is his pink smoke and despite all his red Alastor's is green it could be their sin but we won't know till we see at least one more chain
I just noticed something. Angel has a gold tooth. Val also has a gold tooth. It might be a way to remind Angel who owns him.
what a horrifying scene, the process of that procedure being forced upon him would be
I also noticed that during Loser Baby, when Hux and and Angel are “tied up”, Hux is more traditionally tied up while Angel looks like he’s being bound in a bdsm fashion. It shows that even though they’re each indebted to another sinner, what their debts are vary widely. Also, the Valentino counting 3 dollars story comes from the “Addict” music video, where you can see him counting three bills in his limo, with Angel right next to him.
WHO JOINNING TO USE Angelic Bug spray on Val
😷 🧴💨
And angelic moth balls around Angel's room for good measure
With a dash of FLAMETHROWERS 🔥🔥🔥
15:15 It is entirely possible that Valentino would be dead here if Angel actually understood how powerful Charlie really is and that her father being Lucifer means that she can inherently permakill sinners.
Oh yeah, Valentino would have been destroyed faster than you can say "damn"
Whether you can redeem a sinner or not, you made a good point; if it's possible, can it be done if you sold your soul? In a word, Angel would need to get out of his contract first. That's an interesting point.
One of the big things when it comes to the “poison” song
Is that when it gets to the part where it looks like he’s doing a music video.
That’s all the fantasy. That is Angel disassociating.
When you see the little flashes of him either crying out or in pain, that’s what’s actually happening to him.
But even in his fantasy, he can’t escape Valentino showing up and dragging him away.
I usually really like moths, even more than butterflies, and would not dream of ripping their wings off. But, I'm more than happy to make an exception for Valentino...
Addict- denial
Poison- realisation
accurate :(
Can you believe people had issues with this episode, saying that Poison glorifies sa and that Looser Baby was victim blaming? I don't like to use this expression but those people have a SERIOUS lack of media literacy
I have to give appreciation to the writers that they made valentieno a straight up ugly, evil manipulative, and abusive person. In far too many media outlets, writers always try to make a villian misunderstood or you feel bad for them, in this case if valentieno is making you angry or uncomfortable....than the writers have succeeded in what they wanted the audience to feel. I really felt so scared for both angel and charlie because valentieno is unpredictable in what he could do
yesss, I felt this! don't get me wrong, I love a good misunderstood villain, but sometimes having an antagonist that's just straight up awful and makes your skin crawl when they're on screen is just what the audience needs
There's a theory that Nifty is also a former overlord like Husk. Unlike Husk, Nifty seems to like being leashed to Alastor, most likely because she sees him as a "Bad Boy"
That makes absolutely NO Sense
@@Ashurman666 the reason for the theory is because someone noticed two silhouettes next to Alastor in the pilot when Vaggie was telling the story of him. Since Husk said he was an overlord, they assumed that the other silhouette is Nifty.
Nifty was probably a lower ranked overlord lord like Husk, which is what they assumed as well
@@comicsans6264 Why would they assume that so quickly? Just cause Husk was one it doesn't mean Nifty was one too
@@Ashurman666 I don't know. Of course, won't know that until season 2 is out, which will be quite a long time till they air them.
@@comicsans6264 I just think people are jumping to conclusions way too easily and with very little evidence, like with the Angel's sister in in heaven thing
Angels was not referring to Val seeing how sad or hurt he was. He meant if he got to a stage of damaging himself to the point that he would not be attractive or able to do the stuff that makes Val money. As for the exploding dice, it is most likely a joke on the loaded dice used when cheating.
that's what I meant about Val not wanting to use Angel as his "favorite toy" ^^' but the loaded dice joke COMPLETELY flew over my head! that's so perfect, lmao!
28:16 Other person said someting similar, that even if Angel breaks, Valentino would pick him up again just to keep his fountain of money
I’ve seen like 10 or more different CZcamsrs react to Hazbin but you are the first to stop everything, and address the abuse and how if it’s happening to you it’s not ok and even LINKING the abuse hotlines???? That’s the best thing and I’m definitely subbing after seeing that
that truly surprises me- it's a very serious subject; bringing light to the fact that it's a struggle people might be experiencing just feels like the right thing to do
I hope you enjoy your time as a gremlin! ♡
The fact he cares more about Charlie than he does about his own safety just breaks my heart
@@nataliebateman1151 so true, dude :(
"Not the mating press"
I'm dead 😂😂😂😂😂
ksksk 😂😂
Husk and Nifty turn out to be so perfect for Angel's mental health (since Husk is straightforward and honest, and Nifty need someone to look after her) that it makes me wonder if Alastor chose them specifically for Angel Dust all the way back when he first came to the hotel.
Not enough reactors seem to appreciate Charlie's cute little kicks (6:39), so I'm glad you do :)
they're so adorable!! ♡♡♡
@@NevaehEvol BTW, in ref to ~35:00, I'm glad you explained that. I figured it was moth-related, but wasn't sure offhand.
34:28 Considering his profession, you probably don't wanna know lol
I've seen this episode at least 6 times by now, but I hadn't noticed the clackerboard numbers until you pointed them out! There are SO MANY hidden details in this show, I love it! (Except Val. Fuck Val)
we love a good hidden detail here!
(yeah, fuck that guy )
charlie made me think of a baby panda when she crys at the end
so we know Anthony can store his extra arms in his torso, so maybe he keeps his guns in his chest fluff?
It would explain where he would hide the drum magazines for the Tommy Guns ;)
If there is one thing that I have learned from years of playing RPGs, it is that the bar man _always_ knows more than everybody else. Because Husk you usually likes to stay in the background and not participate, it can be easy to forget that he's always watching everybody.
16:08
Punch Val in the face. I know many people that do rp can say they have done it but AU val is not the real val. Until Viv shows in an episode him getting clocked in the face by a bull dozer that void won’t be filled.
I can't wait for Val to get what's coming to him
Me too, not going to spoil anything though
Honestly.. its kinda funny how Val is so full of himself that he thinks he have anything to offer the Princess of hell itself.. Like Val most be so up his own ass that he don't get how he is basically nothing more then a blip compared to Charlie.
If Charlie were more willing to use her Powers she wouldn't let val talk to her like that nor let him do whatever he wanted to Angel.
I do think that if She wanted to she could probably Force Val into letting Angel go. But that is not how She is.
"Not the mating press. I adore-"
'I swear to fuck if you say mating press!...'
😆
LMAO
I think Charlie has the princess of Hell, may have the power to break a soul contract.
"It's time to lose your self-loathing, excuse yourself, let hope in" 33:25 Is by far my favorite line in the entire episode.
it's a beautiful lyric!
Can i request Vox's face as the copyright protection measure because i think it'd be funny
that would be so funny, but I don't think it'd work for Amazon as changing their content enough to be considered transformative
The guns come with the arms. Also, I don't know if you've heard this before, but Valentino counting the $3 was in Addict. The limo scene.
Charlie has two main problems. The first is she has lived a sheltered privileged life. She just doesn't have the life experience that most of the people in Hell have. Thus there is a gap between them that she just cannot break through their pain from. But she wants to be the person that breaks through their pain. She wants to help because she has so much empathy. The thing is that while she can't be the one to break through she can and has been doing something for them that is just as important. She is providing a place of sanctuary. The thing is that her other problem is limiting her in this currently. She has avoidant behavior concerning her position and powers. She cannot accept who and what she is. She needs to be able to defend the safe space she is making for people to heal. In order to provide hope for people you need to be able to stand against those that would prey upon them. This is what Lucifer failed in. He had the chance to raise people up once they arrived in Hell due to his depression. And as a result Hell turned from what could have been a place of healing to a place of damnation as no one was allowed to think they could ever be better. Charlie is changing that. And she needs to come into her power to make it happen.
For me this episode made me like Angel Dust. It took a few episodes to fully like him.
yeah, I can see that. if you don't have a more lewd sense of humor, then I can totally see how he would be less likeable than other characters
I'm glad he's growing on you though!
@@NevaehEvol I love his lewd humor (similar to mine) but, he became less of a one dimensional character after this episode which I now love 😂! This was a tough episode to get through emotionally.
The reason Charlie is so looked down upon, is that sinners don't respect authority, and that she's not intimidating at all
yeah, someone else was talking about how she would command a lot more respect for her rank if she actually uses her powers rather than being so passive
The most tragic part of Angel yelling at Charlie to make her leave the Studio is that he did so out of a fear for her safety more than his own. He's become so traumatized by Valentino's abuse that he sees the moth as an invincible monster like Alastor who can and will hurt or even kill Charlie for trying to help him, even though Charlie is shown to be strong enough to make a powerful angel like Adam bleed when even Alastor couldn't. Which is especially heartbreaking because it becomes clear upon closer inspection that Valentino was the one whose life was truly at risk since he was going to have to get the shit beat out of him by Charlie once she finally realized what Angel was going through or Lucifer would kill him personally if he did anything to harm his daughter, and only got out of both scenarios because he figuratively and literally hid behind Angel like the coward he is.
I look forward to a day when Charlie does fight Valentino when the latter can't use Angel as a human shield to avoid the princesses unwavering wrath.
When husk and Anthony sing together and it shows their chains, husks has more and is tightly wrapped while Anthony is loose and not many chains because he is only partially owned. Husk however is completely owned by Alastor.
Another way to see is the fact Anthony only has one blackout aye while husk has both blacked out as the saying goes the eyes are a window to the soul
Not sure if anyone has mentioned that quote for souls
I love the subtly to the ropes binding them! I do love the concept of their eyes showing their soul ownership, but someone pointed out that Husk's eyes are black even before he sold his soul, so I feel like it kind of tanks the headcanon a little. Although, if his eyes specifically look like that because he had *dealt* with souls in general rather than just having sold his, I could see that headcanon holding water!
Yup and absolutely agree that husk and Anthony getting together hopefully 🤞 I wanna see husk confront val so bad 😂
9:27 Spoilers for Episode 5, but uh....
Val, you cannot compete with a mf who can pull literal champagne fountains and caviar mountains out of thin air. Pipe yo ass down.
Also spoilers from even further:
He’d be so dead if Luci ever finds out about Val trying to make a move on her

Everyone's loosing the chance to call those dice "loaded"
Ahhh fam! Your insight into this episode an all the others never fails to impress me. The depth of your emotional insight is astounding and i cant wait for the rest of your reactions!! Thank you thank you for your content!!! 🩵🩵🩵
ah, you're so sweet! I'm so glad to read you're enjoying my little corner of the Internet! this made my day
fun fact! The "his eyes are so shit" line between husk and angel about val is in reference to the Addict music video
Reactions title always go like
Ep1: "Yay it's here 😃"
Ep2: "Happy 😃"
Ep3: "Fun 😃"
Ep4: "🥲"
Ahahahah
I feel like I'm in a Canon event 😭
Charlie is very sheltered
incredibly so
I don't know why but I feel that we've got told that Valentino's eyes are bad for a reason. Who knows? maybe there's a detail in the contract that was missed in the first reading of it and upon reading it again a loop hole could be discovered, freeing Angel Dust from Val but that just a theory so please take what I wrote with a grain of salt.
In the music video of Addict, you can see Val in a car, counting three 10 buck notes VEEEEEEEERY very slowly. That implies that his sight is f*cked.
this episode is so good becaus it shows a reall ruthless nature of contracted sexworkers and how people who mask themselves often hurt alot more then they let on
I believe that part when angel dust gets abused that's also to show what happens in that type of adult content in real life
very true; although that isn't the case with most sex workers, it does unfortunately happen
In defense of Charlie at the very beginning, when she’s trying to stop Angel from leaving, I feel like on rewatch it looks like she catches that something is fucked up, and that’s why she’s trying to make Angel stay. Of course, that wouldn’t help him, just like ~everything else she does here, but I do think it’s a bit better than just an expression of her (very real) privilege
Someone mentioned him doing the music video part was him disassociating into a different reality and that the stuff on the screens behind him is what is really happening. Which fucking breaks my heart. And when Val appears its forcing Anthony to wake up at that moment.
Those dots on Angel’s face are eyes. He’s a Spider so he has 8 eyes
yes
Not so fun fact, that content warning wasn't in the episode originally. It was added a few days later. This episode is heavy and hits my heart, but it's also really good and we get some great character growth from Charlie, Angel, and Husk. It also has some of the best songs in the series, and we get reminded why Val is so hateable after how pathetic he was in episode 2. He definitely seems like the type that bullies others because it makes him feel big and tough when he's actually just a whiny little bitch lol. Cool design though, and that big moth wing moment was cool. Also, Angel's little freckles are actually eyes and it was cool having a moment to remind us of that. I remember learning about that ages ago and it's cool seeing it acknowledged.
Anyway great episode, my favourite out of the first 4. I hope someday Angel manages to be free of Val and gets to take charge of his work, cause he clearly enjoys it, and being a fairly sexual person, but he plays it up to 11 because he feels like it's how he needs to be, and Val is a very toxic part in his life. Also Blake Roman's performance this episode really sold me on him. I still miss Michael Kovach, but Blake is doing a great job. Also that moment of him worrying about Charlie despite her being in no real danger was sweet and shows us how much he really does care. It's also nice seeing more of Husk and seeing him open up a bit. Also Charlie learning to respect boundaries is nice growth for her. I love our babygirl, but she has issues with boundaries.
Also heads up, I think you forgot to add the hotline number in the description, unless I missed it. Just letting you know ^^
I totally hear this entire comment! it always feels like you speak directly from my brain and I love it. ik I don't always get to reply to your comments, but I genuinely love them so much and I always read them ♡♡♡♡
IM SO MAD AT MYSELF I PUT THE HOTLINE IN MY NOTES FOR THE EPISODE BUT NOT THE DESCRIPTION, FUCK
okay, I just added the hotline list, thank you so much for letting me know!
@@NevaehEvol aww that's so sweet! I always worry if maybe I say too much, and I have a problem with adding more and more instead of just posting when the video is over, so that means a lot!
There's so much more I could say about all these episodes, too. I just love this series and Helluva Boss so much and there's so many tiny details to talk about 💜
24:27 All the lessons Charlie learned in season 1 are very questionable. Maybe they'll play with this somehow further.
Example Charlie won't be aggressive in the future because she now thinks it will make things worse. But in reality it was necessary to act aggressively.
Another example, Charlie now follows Rosie's advice and for example will continue to trust Allastor more and more, since his "actions speak the truth". Even if he tells her to her face that he is a villain
They could totaly make a valintino punching bag as merch.
Fr
I have a stella(from helluva boss) and Valentino punching bag
this is amazing
I get the feeling Husk is gonna when Angels soul back through gambling with Val, probably due to vals poor eyesight that they mention at the end
Alright! Here we go for trauma. This is ... one of the episodes of all time.
Yeah, Val can die so many times over pretty please.
This is why Poison cannot be a top song for me. Like don't get me wrong, on a musical level it goes Hard. But because of the emotions and story attached, its just too heavy for me to be able to enjoy it on a playlist.
Ok you didn't have to go for my throat with the "Your friends that are always fine might secretly not be fine."
And now we've reached my favorite song in the show! Like I said the other video, Kieth David is NOT a human being. His voice is peak, the song is incredible, the story is genuinely so hopeful. It's also the first Hazbin song I memorized 100%
Ooh, fun moth facts!
its very likely that the only way angel cna be saved is if valentino is extermianted.
and personally I had this theory of Vox becoming so fed up with valentino's nonsense for one reason or another he'd use an angelic weapon to kill him. Or maybe Angel would.
Husk doesn't see Angel Dust. He sees Anthony.
so true ♡
Your comment about how much you hate Val, rest assured the EINTIRE Fandom can not wait for him to get what's coming to him. And we hope it's as brutal as possible.
fuck yeah!
I always notice the camera guy which Charlie talked to. They also were in the pilot and in the main series on multiple occassions (all of which, besides one, were indeed behind a camera if I'm correct)
I like the relationship between Angel dust and Husker because you can tell espeacially after this episode that Husk genuinely cares about the real person behind the persona that being Anthony. And i feel like because of the industry Angel dust is in and the people he surrounds himself by (like Valentino)over time he's built this wall up so high to the point he feels he has no choice but to be (Angel dust the pornstar). Because he feels like if he shows the real side of him ie: Anthony. He thinks he'll be judged differently and respected even less than he is as Angel dust. But Husker has the Ability to break through that wall even if only a little bit and see the real Anthony and thats the side Husk likes in him. Sorry for the rant ❤🐈⬛🕷
19:06 We need Niffty.
SPOILER: In the End of Episode 8 we See that all the Vees are Afraid by Niff bc she killed Adam
I saw some art one time of husk beating val in a game poker so i think husk somehow ends up able to challenge val for Anthony's soul back
23:45 not the more you know poster 😂
it will never die!
32:47 thank you for giving me a shout out 😊
I gotchu, babes
I think Niffty was supposed to be a Black Widow
I know this was months ago so at this point it doesn't matter lol, but I disagree with the thought that Charlie should stay out of it, yes she doesn't understand a lot of realties of the situation, but the very premise of her staying away is probably the exact thought that is causing her to make things worse, if she forcibly got involved more she could do so much good, but as she is very lovably kind, she isn't harsh Enough on people like Valentino, staying at a distance that she perceives as being good because she is worried about stepping over peoples shoes. Also as far as I'm concerned angels opinion on the matter frankly doesn't matter, never let an abused person convince you to not help them, as long as you actually are helping or getting them help other ways. This is way more harsh then I would ever want to be with people normally, but these type of situations call for it.
You have an absolutely wonderful take here, honestly. No notes ♡
This is the first time in all the react videos that someone has pointed out the clapperboard. Everyone else, including myself, was half disassociating due to the content and didnt notice that.
It will be bad if Charlie's lesson learned turns out badly. Let’s say in a situation Baxter(possibly a guest from season 2) needs to be pushed to the end, but she won’t do it because of “boundaries”
It's not everyday that we get voice acting as good as what we get in this episode. The voice acting from both Angel and Val is eo good and the va's do an incredible job.
I remember when Blake Roman was first announced as Angel and everyone was pissed, but I think it was after this episode that nearly everyone came around to loving his casting. This is his first role straight out of college, too. Viv said that when Blake, someone with absolutely zero credits, walked in and started recording, he blew everyone away and that was when Viv knew she found Angel Dust.
Joel Perez has been friends with Viv for a while, so no one was surprised when they revealed him to be voicing Valentino in the show. It's actually kind of funny how everyone absolutely despises Valentino and will go rants of multiple paragraphs of how much they hate him, but then end it with "love his voice actor though". Joel Perez is actually a very nice person that everyone loves. I remember that years ago, I would see people say some dumb shit like "anyone who voices this type of character is a piece if shit too" or "I'll hate anyone involved with this character", but luckily that hasn't happened to Joel yet. I actually watched the recent cast interview and remember when the recording for episode four came up and Joel said that he was depressed all day after leaving the studio.
There's a lot of art put into voice acting and I feel like most people overlook it, but I think voice over is a really cool industry. Hazbin Hotel has issues and flaws, but the voice acting overall just isn't one of them.
Me seeing which episode you’re on: oh honey…. I’ll get you the fandom tissues.
sob, Thank you ;;;;
Valentino is both a stupid goofy goober whenever he's around the other V's but the moment he enters his own studio he completely shifts his tone. He is aggressively in charge, will not take no for an answer and comes across as down right terrifying. It's such a great way to show how abusers can look like idiots from an outsiders perspective but absolutely horrific in the eyes of their victims
you're absolutely right, dude. He is a well written, easily hateable character to his core and I hope he gets what's coming to him
@@NevaehEvol agreed!!!!
Hope you continue to enjoy hazbin🥰
@GrimmLordFromOhio why are you saying the same thing over and over again?
@@alf513 Fucking trolls and/or bots. I just report them for spam.
They're spam bots. Report them and ignore them@@alf513
Broooo, I didn't even realize the camera in the background when Angel's getting abused. That's so messed up, man.
Oh, seems like this show has a Bot problem at the moment, based on comment replies...
Your so right 😂 idk who tyranny is
I wish I had noticed this earlier fjajsnxjxjnx I'm handling it rn
I'm buying moth bug spray.
i don't know why everyone thinks forcing Husk to go after Angel is the most moral idea.....frankly this situation Husk is an abuse victim, Angel was constantly flirting/touching Husk against Husks will....why send an abuse victim go find his abuser?
I love Angel and only want the best for his character but he was not being consensual towards Husk....
I just found a fan art of Husk and Anthony in a casino and Husk looking at Valentino then dropping his cards and saying Royal Flush Mother!@#$%^. Ill take that little bit of fan art until the contracts broken in canon.
Just before the loser song Angel says "his favorite toy" referring to his contract with Val.
Ah to remeber the first time i watched this episode and had a damn panick attack
I'd love to become a gremster I just have one issue
I don't have a soul
or money
people think that husk is a good guy whitout knowing why he is in the hell first place and the reason he regrets hes choices sound very much like he regrets them because he lost his power as overlord
That actually is a cigarette he's smoking. The red comes from his saliva, Velvet uses it in "love potions" it's like some kind of hypnotic drug like substance
that checks out! tbh, I've been callin em cigarettes, but some peeps pointed out the color and it's in my brain now
Loser, Baby is the best fucking kind of hand you can offer someone in Angel’s position; it’s offering comfort but keeping it real. The situation is fucked, you can’t unfuck it by commiserating…but you can feel a little better. And maybe find yourself a partner to dig yourself out with.
