I like the buzzers cuz it makes for interesting gameplay . Players change up their strategies and anyone can get right back in it if they get a bonus buzzer

9:28 that full auto reload was pretty sick. These guys got some talent.
It’s actually a 2 finger trigger on semi auto only. They ‘walk’ the trigger with both fingers to shoot 15+ balls per second which makes it even more impressive

drones may be too loud. maybe hang wires for cams to slide on like in other sports

When you realize the paintball gun isn't automatic, but it's actually them drumming their index and middle fingers on the trigger.
You can get automatic ones.

Technically about 140 paintballs made it into the pod. Not as many made it into the hopper.

Is it too costly to just host your own, private, 5v5 tournament with paintball teams (not necessarily pro)? Film it just like your NXL events but add post production so editing can catch what is missed in the live streams. Basically implement what the NPL was trying to do.
I think 5v5 just too much going on to be a manageable live spectator sport. Either they need to heavily edit in post, or go to a smaller team size, or a different game format.

Variety is definitely a good thing. Paintball was never really a spectator sport for me. Too many players doing thins at the same time. This is a refreshing change.

The Russian Legion vs Ironmen 1v1 from the 2007 World Cup (second match, score was 2-1 Ironmen at the time) was more exciting, IMO. The points buzzers add an interesting twist.
Why don’t they limit the amount of paint they can use each round. Would make it actually interesting compared to just spraying the whole game
That’s tournament paintball
They're limited to 2 pods and a hopper. That is limited. There's no clock and the buzzers allow for big reasons to push for those extra points. It's a good amount of paint to maintain gun dominance and control your opponent. You also don't need to shoot all of your paint. Most of these points are short and they only shoot like half a hopper.

me and few friends have done this for years in sweden 1v1 - 4v4 both inside and outside no pods and with the same rules ( fire emoji )

The speed of the paints is insane
Speed is regulated to 300 fps or slower depending on the venue, Insurance, format etc.
Cycle rate is usually capped also again depending on format , league etc.
Again these are soft times lol.
