He told me afterwards his background. It’s amazing how different the skill level is when you actually see someone who has pro level talent playing against amateurs and enthusiasts
It is anotyer level, thru the hundreds to thousands of hours practicing and playing with better players and being coached.. We see things others don't, see spaces, passes, vision of what can be... and create special touches that buy us half a second look ups to make that special pass. I miss it so much 😢
I played a handful of veterans games with an ex Chelsea player from the 70s, this was in the mid 90s, but while the knees may go the skills are forever.

There’s levels to the game. That guy in the pros is probably mediocre & he made the other players look like complete amateurs. Just like basketball a simple guy who only played 5 years with basics stats in the NBA would completely destroy college stars. It’s a beauty to watch pros.

Many professional footballers are made to look average when you see them playing against other professionals but when you play with them in real life you really see how insanely good they actually are. Also you see how well rounded they are. You might be able to match them in one particular area: skills, shooting, passing etc. But they are so well rounded that they can do everything really well from vision to weak foot to physicality.
Once played with Ronnie Goodlass ( ex Everton winger late 70's) . He was into his 50's , the standard was decent but he was head and shoulders above everyone. Class stays.

So when Kai first joined Chelsea lampard played him as No.8 , then started from TT to potter and back to lampard all playing him as striker(CF /false 9) , even at Germany most of the time Hansi flicks played him up top as well, so people keeping talking about his natural position, then where is his best/ natural position then . There must be conversations between Kai and all mangers , for me he wants to play at the position himself as well

Should be illegal for pros to play us scrubs. Bros are just too good, plus you know eventually some defender is gonna actually try to break his ankles. So for the safety of their legs and the safety of regular people not getting destroyed, we should just keep pros and amateurs separate
