    Love mine. Although I'm not thrilled about two things. One, the tight spacing of drive train and rear shock tower doesn't allow for spur gear larger than the stock 84t, which is why they upped the usual 20t pinion to 24t. Two, because of the previous, you are forced to used the slim shorty batteries. I was told this is because they wanted this to be a "light weight" chassis.
    Besides those two things, it rips. The specs for turnbuckles and such are definitely revised compared to the SX3. I was constantly comparing the two as I built the ZX.
    The screw bag threw me for a loop. Don't pay attention to the little warning stapled to the manual. The hardware is separated by size and type and has nothing to do with page or step numbers.

      i thought i replied to you but i guess it never went thru a while ago lol. I agree with you on those 2 points. Screw bag thing was silly lol. The car does drive quite well tho even out of box so going to tune it soon now that i have the ZX LM version as well :)

    I dont understanf them its2022 and they give you 200 and 300 oil...same goes for thr shock piston holes...we are not racing for drift sake!!3 racing gives 5mm offset .useless just like you said.great videos man just subscribed.

      I was surprised to see #200 and #300 oil in this "final" evolution of YD-2 as well. Shock piston holes I'm ok with still being 4. 3Racing loves 5mm offset wheels LOL

    Probably a dumb question from a complete newbie to RC drifting but the flexibility of the carbon fiber chassis on the bottom that you noted in the video... when it comes to a drift car is that a good thing or a bad thing? Is it better if the chassis can flex or is it better to be more rigid?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  Před rokem +1

      It is a good question :) Flex is good in chassis plates but too much flex is unpredictable and makes the car reactions unstable.

      I bought mine at the Strickly Sidewayz Club www.stricklysidewayzclub.ca but they are out of stock of the YD-2 ZX. You might be able to find stock here at Elite Drift Shop www.elitedriftshop.ca
      or this search link from Elite:

    Hi Nezo if you can help me a bit.i have the d4 lots of upgrades for 6 years now i drift(vids on my channel).at the end of the month i will order a new car.i like the yd-2zs because my lipos are standard size.since you have seen so many kits performing.i sm also considering the rmx/rrx new version.what is your opinion?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  Před rokem

      Hello :) Aww yiss D4 life :) The YD-2Zs is a great idea for a next drift chassis, it is the latest (final) version of the YD-2 and features the most refinements across all the YD-2 versions. The YD-Z will let you choose between the standard and shorty size batteries as it comes with both battery type mounts. I just acquired a MST RMX 2.5RS so I will be trying that soon too. I do love the RMX 2.0 as well but i find myself enjoying my YD-2's more.

      Ok.thanks but i need almost 0 rear toe my d4 is 0.5 in total and it holds the drift well.everything above doest work for me.i asked about the yd2 zs if i can reduce it with box parts or i have to order stg else?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  Před rokem +1

      THere are two rear toe block options, one is 0.5-1 toe in and the other gives approx 2.5 toe in i believe but i can double check. If you upgrade to the aluminum toe blocks there is lots of adjustment via the bushing inserts :)
