  • It's official!
We're thrilled to announce that foreigners, who already are residence permits holders, can now explore a broader range of properties in Mauritius beyond the existing approved schemes.
Indeed, the much-anticipated regulatory updates have expanded the options for foreigners looking to invest in properties, provided there's a minimum investment of USD 500 000.
In this video, Timo Geldenhuys - Director at Mauritius Sotheby's International Realty gets into the details of who can acquire property outside of regulated property schemes. He also covers crucial aspects such as land size, property types, taxes, and more.

Why do most people live on the west and north coast of Mauritius?
I quite liked Beau Champ and Trou d'Eau Douche when I visited.
Im looking to retire there and I was thinking of Anahita or One and Only villas.

Question, as far as I am understanding, purchasing the property will not qualify you for the 375k property investment permit meaning that those on occupational permit would not be able to use this property purchase to switch to a 375k+ 20 year permit?
