My needle felted mat is now resting on a rack sitting over a floor vent. We have freezing temperatures outside and no sunshine at all. You are a great teacher!

I tried to make mine (before watching your video) ... it was a disaster! I made a huge felt ball in my washing machine!!! Now, after your video, I´m ready for my second try! It´s seems pretty easy! Thank you!!!

@@feltsbyphilippaI finished my mat but I didn’t get a nice finished surface like yours. It looks fluffy and not smooth. Not sure I did something wrong or the quality of my wool is not that great.
I wouldn't, they take too long to make, it explains why the woolbuddy mats are about £20, lots of effort to make but worth it as my mat has lasted for ages x

I don't think it would adhere but worth a try if you felt it lots to the mat first, thanks for watching x
Great tutorial! I have small question, can you also use roving slithers or does it have to be a sheet/batt?
You can definitely use either, the batt is just a bit quicker to wrap round x

I turn my pieces regularly to help prevent this a bit but it does sometimes still happen so I use a metal lint remover to clean my mat x
Could you use drier Clint for the inside?
That's supposed to be drier lint.
Yes definitely, people do but as it's so fine it might take a while to felt down x
Can I use quilting batting for the inside
Yes so long as it's not lumpy should be fine x

Yes, absolutely, it just a way to save money using cheaper core wool but be aware that the colours might felt through xx

Hi, it was from Etsy but about two years ago so I'm not sure where, if you search art batts similar should come up x
What does the wet felting do?
It matts all the wool together to form a layer, have a look at wet felting as an art, you can make fabric and bags and all sorts x
