Payne got his wish for more good Pyro/Volcanic support, but he could've wished for it to be affordable too. Or maybe that's one that wouldn't come true anyways.
Konami is like a monkey paw, Payne got his wish... But at what cost? LMAO.
I mean, you could just play purely online with stuff like EDO Pro (Ignis) or OMEGA. Hell, playing online you can actually make a decent amount of cash on the side if you're dedicated enough to play in player run tournaments that do offer small cash prizes.
If you want the game to be more affordable then do just this. The less people that buy Konami's dogshit products first hand the more they're willing to push out products that are directly beneficial to players to get them back. That, and the less that you attend official tournaments the more that they'll attempt to do in order to appeal to players as well. Literally, just stop consuming the slop that is placed before you without question and actively choose what is better for you and be a part of the change that you want to see.

They actually pay people to watch social media for anomalies like this and other reasons (like defamation or NDA violations). Plus like what do you think the people who test and create yugioh cards do all day? Theory test what they're creating in a vacumn? They're all incredibly close to the game and someone at Konami knew. But honestly, this was inevitable. YGO has a 25 year continuous card pool and it just makes sense to give support to the attributes with less cards eventually. I think they're already starting to pivot over to wind with the ocg set releases.
Payne was a sleeper agent working with Mr. Konami this whole time, we were brainwashed in to believing we NEEDED Pyro support, however, I think we flew too close to the sun on this one. Bonfire to the moon baby!

Tbh i really think Pyro/Fire needed some Kind of Love from konami but the price for a Bonfire is just insane its just so refreshing not having only dark or light Decks in the meta
