I'm very happy with the functioning so far. Here are a few short commings. First you will not be able to connect directly to the camera unless you are very close to it. Even when connecting to wifi, unless there is something I'm not getting right. After the camera is activated it will stay on a minimum of 2 hours with no activity. This setting can be adjusted, but for more time not less. So after returning from a trip i get 2 hours of my garage wall at the end. It tapes in small clips, so you have to go through many videos after a short trip. Almost impossible to do quickly unless you remove the card and connect to your phone or computer. So trying to show a cop the video after an incident would take some time. When removing the memory card the camera shifts position and needs to be re-adjusted. I know this sounds like a lot of problems, but for my needs, they are just minor annoyances. I may change out to a dual camera to get video in the cabin, even so the wire is set and I can switch out cameras instantly without effort. Right now I love that no-one can see the camera behind the mirror. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, or want me to elaborate on any of the above, dont hesitate to ask.
it works in parking mode in either window. you will need a longer cable for the back window install. Just be careful to use the Garmin brand parking mode cable, I used a generic brand parking mode cable and drained my battery. Later I decided the parking mode was unnecessary for me because I kept the car in my garage and didn't frequent high incident places.

Parking mode is useless. You need wi fi connection for it to work.
Parking guard is useless don’t bother ppl.
I tend to agree. Unless you park in a high incident area, its a waste of storage space.
