The Dolly Parton Experience
The Dolly Parton Experience is slated to open this spring with a number of interactive elements to make guests feel as if they were alongside Dolly as she journeyed from Locust Ridge to stages around the world. Housed in multiple buildings, the multi-faceted Dolly Parton Experience includes exhibits which span her iconic career, the inspiration and results of her biggest dreams, the importance of her family, and even a curated exhibit that highlights Dolly’s signature style through the years. The Dolly Parton Experience provides guests more Dolly than ever, as it is three times the size of the former Chasing Rainbows Museum.

After I go to Dollywood, I always feel like I have met Dolly. Love her tiny dresses and tiny shoes! Her museum used to have her memories from growing up. Her senior trip to Washington, DC photo looked exactly like mine. Same clothing styles and hairstyles. We had to wear dresses or skirts and blouses. They no longer have the movie where leaves fall in the theater and it rains in the theater? It has been maybe 10 years since I was there. Hope I have the opportunity to go again. I live in FL but grew up in southwestern VA mountains. Close to Dolly’s age.
Sounds like we swapped as we used to live in Florida and now up here. Glad you were able to virtually enjoy it and hope you can make it back someday!

Omg 😱 I just missed it by a week. Thank you so much for all your information. I returned home to Kona, Hi from a 2 weeks trip to Nashville, pigeon forge and Gatlinburg 2 days ago. So so much to do and see. It was amazing. Micro wrestling was what put pigeon forge on the map for me and all your videos is what I visited. 4 supper shows, 8 mountain coasters, Zorbing, Dollywood, Splash mountain, Anakeeka, smoky mountains. And so much more. What a great time. Mahalo and keep up the great work 🤙🏽

My husband and I were at Dollywood about two weeks before the Dolly Parton experience opened. 🙁. Now we will have to go back!! 🤗

Can't wait to see this in person! Definitely, Steel Magnolias is my favorite movie Dolly has been in. But I also think of a lesser known movie of hers, Straight Talk. Haven't seen it in years, but I remember it being pretty fun.

Great video. We are excited to see this in person when we visit Dollywood for the first time later this year. We are excited to explore Dollywood and see the Christmas festival to celebrate my birthday on opening weekend. Are you allowed to take photos in here now? Where are the best places for pictures in Dollywood? Do you know what places take pictures as part of the memory maker photo pass?
Thanks, you can take & share photo/videos from inside now. There are tons of great photos spots scattered all around the park. You’ll find when you go through it.
For the Behind the Seams exhibit, it would have been fitting to use the quote from Steel Magnolias, "It takes some effort to look like this!"
But I did like the one they actually did use, too. "Smile! It increases your face value!"
