Hello brother, I keep lisning and as the day pass by i do work or school sometimes Allah comes to my mind and i start to think of the thing allah wrote in quran. As i dont know more than the things my muslim friends told me and by reading or lisning to quran. I can also say That i have study religion in higher education and can tell u i know more about Kristian religon than islam. This is of Coz pure academic knows. Some of my friend are Kristians and Jesus is the holy One for them and of Coz god and the holy sprit as they like to put it. All my family is buddist and in buddism WE dont have any gods at sl Coz WE do not belive in gods. WE belive in buddhas teaching and WE try to follow hes Way. WE do not pray as buddha told That pray is not something That make any diff in real life. White Clear action from u self can make diff in reality. WE do meditation as buddist, thing is That i feel sometimes as me as a person need god or something That u can pray and trust in when i or humans cany help out. Thats why i started to go to church and pray to god and jesus. I can say i when i found the quran and start lisen it feels real straight foreward and i find quran very prure and as i understand alla wrote in quran That WE shall not make own translation of Quran as WE shall follow only the things pure whilout our own way of thinking they is written in Quran. Original Bible had the same message as Quran that God is one and that Jesus(pbuh) was only a prophet sent by God just like other prophets who came to guide people.

I am happy to know that you being a Christian love and respect Quran and Muslims. To some extent you have rightly said that God(Allah) spoke or gave instructions through many religions i.e. through his holy books. But as time passed human beings changed these books(Vedas, Torah, Gospels, Bible etc..) where as Quran is still intact even though 1400 years have passed. One will find many discrepancies & contradictions in all other books except Quran.
Im listening to these and i cant get enough. Finally ive found something..are these chapters in the right order and is this exactly how it is told in the Quran as i want to get it right and hear things in the right order
Yes, these audio files are in the same order as the chapters in the Quran. I would also recommend you to read the English Translation of the Quran, there is one I would recommend and it is called "The Clear Quran" by Mustafa Khattab. It's a very good translation written in a very simple English language.
Please do not take me wrong, I being a muslim I am not trying to boast my religion but just trying to show the truth. Quran is the last and final testament from Allah and Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) is the last and final messenger, Quran has been sent down for whole of humanity to follow so there will be peace and harmony in this life and success in hereafter. My advice to u will be to read both Bible and Quran and then compare them, InShaAllah you will find out which is the true intact word of God.

The hadiths are sayings/doings of the prophet pbuh. Since all prophets of God were capable of seeing and prophecizing and able to do miracle works the hadiths are then collections of different doings, sayings, and much more. None of the hadiths were kalimullah (word of god) only the noble Quran is directly from God Almighty Allah.

I totally agree with you in regards to living harmoniously and accepting whatever is good in every religion and not to fight over differences. But I do not agree on this sentence of yours that all books of all religions are written by men atleast not Quran as Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) didnt knew to read & write. If you look into the meaning of the word "Islam", it means to surrender our will to the will of God and this word Islam comes from the root word Salaam which means peace. The Islamic greeting "As salaam-u-alaikum" when a man meets another itself means peace be on you. When we mention name of prophets we say "Peace Upon Them" soon after their names are taken. This peace was in terms of greeting each other or while mentioning the name of prophets. Now lets look into the practical ways of attaining peace. I am sure when you read Quran you must have come across lots of rules and regulations like rules and regulations of any country, why do you think these rules and regulations are commanded. They are commanded by God so that there will be peace and tranquility in this world. For example a rapist when proven guilty is ordered in Quran to be sentenced to death, now this looks very unpeaceful and unpleasant but this same command brings peace to heart of all women as this makes them feel safe and secure when such rule is put into action. Similarly there are many such rules like to pray five times a day which brings peace to the heart, rule to pay zakat(2.5% of ones saving) yearly this brings peace to the poor, to pay charity once again peace for the poor, to serve once parents - peace for older parents, fight against oppression - peace for those are being oppressed. Peace is something which is to be attained by following certain rules and regulation and not just by saying or by just believing in something.
With all due respect peace is a physical state of being, not merely words. A greeting may wish peace, but it cannot manifest peace. In Quran, rules and regulations do not delineate peace with punishments in order to insure tranquility. Instead, the ultimate consideration is whether you believe or disbelieve. The Earth is one world, our world. Humanity is still maturing as understanding broadens. Throughout our history, civilization has given birth to many cultures. Diverse cultures that have equally diverse creation stories and deity ( s ). These are the non-believers. Guidance from Quran is specific when it comes to those who disbelieve. For this, God commands his guidance: 1. believers are not to take disbelievers for friends instead of believers. (unless to protect yourself from them) 2. So do not befriend any of them, unless they turn to Alla, if not execute them wherever you find them. 3. o you who believe! Do not befriend disbelievers rather than believers. Do you want God to have a clear case against you. 4. They disbelieve those that say God is the Christ, son of Mary 5. To you who believe ! Do Not take the Jews or Christians as allies:.... Whoever of you allies himself with them is one of them. 6. Fight those who do not believe in God until they pay the due tax willingly or unwillingly. If this is guidance from the Quran, those that follow such guidance cannot believe these are calls for peace . To the contrary, there cannot be peace, accept among believers. Those that believe otherwise or have evolved beyond accepting superstition as truth cannot enjoy this peace and security you claim manifests from what your God commands. Your explanation therefore categorizes the rest of the world as rapists. Who will not feel safe or secure, or peace so long as Muslims follows as God commands. not true?
I guess you havent read the whole Quran this is why when you read such verses from some anti-Islamic websites you are bound to feel that Islam is not a religion of peace. Let me give the background first as to when and why these verses were revealed to Muhammad(PBUH) and then we can talk about these verses. Muhammed(PBUH) was born in Quraish tribe, a leading tribe in Arabia who were also the guardians of Kaaba which was built by Abraham(PBUH). When prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was born, Arabia was at the height of barbarism with people fighting over silly reasons for genarations, burying their daughters alive, cheating, robbery, injustice, drinking, fornication, idol worship etc. Now Muhammed(PBUH)'s father died before he was born, his mother died when he was 6 his grand father was the one who took care of him. At the age of 25 he married Khadija a widow who was 40 years old even though he could have easily got younger virgin girls to marry. Muhammed(PBUH) got his prophethood when he was 40 years old until then he was called Sadiq-ul-Ameen which means trustworthy by the people of Makkah. After getting prophethood he was ordered by God to call people to worship one and only God. This is when few accepted his call and few denied among whom were his own uncles, friends, neigbours, relatives etc. To stop Muhammed(PBUH) from calling to worship one God they started offering him money, woman & position to which he denied and persistently kept calling people towards one God. When the leaders of Makkah saw that nothing was stopping Muhammed(PBUH) from doing his job, they started harming him physically by abusing, throwing rubbish, stones, putting camel skin or dung while he was praying etc. They even boycotted him and his followers for 3 consecutive years when they were made to live in a valley with no food or water. This is when his wife Khadeejah and his grand father died. He had 4 daughters and 3 sons, all except one daughter died during his lifetime. Imagine someone going through all this but still being ordered by God not to retaliate even though few of his companions who accepted his call were among the strongest of Arabs. This went on for thirteen years and finally when the leaders of Makkah made a plot to kill Muhammed(PBUH), God orderd Muhammed(PBUH) to leave Makkah and go to Madinah. Once Muhammed(PBUH) reached Madinah he was peacefully living but the Non-believers of Makkah which include his own relatives couldnt bear this thought that he was still alive and propagating the idea to worship only one God, and thus they plotted to attack Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers and people of Madinah, with an army. Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers had no proper food or shelter let alone any kind of proper arms to fight against the Non-believers but this time God ordered Muhammed(PBUH) to fight back and not to get oppressed anymore. This is the situation when these kind of verses regarding fight were revealed to Muhammed(PBUH) and these are the same verses which are taken out of context without any background knowledge, to blame the whole of Islam. Now lets look at the verses.
Oldtownbronzecowboy "O you who believe! Take not for Auliyâ' (protectors or helpers or friends) disbelievers instead of believers. Do you wish to offer Allâh a manifest proof against yourselves?"(4:144) - The word "Auliya" used in this verse means Protector, Helper or Friend. If you look at the context of this verse its talking about Hypocrites who claim to be Muslim but at the sametime be friends with Non-believers and give away all the secrets of the believers to the Non-believers whenever Non-believers attacked the believers who were living peacefully in Madinah. The minute a war is won by Believers they would say we were among you and whenever non-believers won the war they would say we were on your side. The other reason why Allah is ordering believers not to take non-believers as friends is because some of the believers had sympathy for the non-believers as they were their own friends or relatives. This is why Allah is specifically saying to believers not to take Non-believers as your protector in war as the non-believers have hatred filled against the believers and 13 years of torcher against Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers in enough evidence to show how much hatred the non-believers had against the believers.
This brought me to tears as a Jew. It's like God is talking directly to us...

If you look into the meaning of the word "Islam", it means to surrender our will to the will of God and this word Islam comes from the root word Salaam which means peace. The Islamic greeting "As salaam-u-alaikum" when a man meets another itself means peace be on you. When we mention name of prophets we say "Peace Upon Them" soon after their names are taken. This peace was in terms of greeting each other or while mentioning the name of prophets. Now lets look into the practical ways of attaining peace.
I am sure when you read Quran you must have come across lots of rules and regulations like rules and regulations of any country, why do you think these rules and regulations are commanded. They are commanded by God so that there will be peace and tranquility in this world. For example a rapist when proven guilty is ordered in Quran to be sentenced to death, now this looks very unpeaceful and unpleasant but this same command brings peace to heart of all women as this makes them feel safe and secure when such rule is put into action.
Similarly there are many such rules like to pray five times a day which brings peace to the heart, rule to pay zakat(2.5% of ones saving) yearly this brings peace to the poor, to pay charity once again peace for the poor, to serve once parents - peace for older parents, fight against oppression - peace for those are being oppressed. Peace is something which is to be attained by following certain rules and regulation and not just by saying or by just believing in something.
With all due respect peace is a physical state of being, not merely words. A greeting may wish peace, but it cannot manifest peace.
In Quran, rules and regulations do not delineate peace with punishments in order to insure tranquility. Instead, the ultimate consideration is whether you believe or disbelieve.
The Earth is one world, our world. Humanity is still maturing as understanding broadens. Throughout our history, civilization has given birth to many cultures. Diverse cultures that have equally diverse creation stories and deity ( s ).
These are the non-believers.
Guidance from Quran is specific when it comes to those who disbelieve. For this, God commands his guidance:
1. believers are not to take disbelievers for friends instead of believers. (unless to protect yourself from them)
2. So do not befriend any of them, unless they turn to Alla, if not execute them wherever you find them.
3. o you who believe! Do not befriend disbelievers rather than believers. Do you want God to have a clear case against you.
4. They disbelieve those that say God is the Christ, son of Mary
5. To you who believe ! Do Not take the Jews or Christians as allies:.... Whoever of you allies himself with them is one of them.
6. Fight those who do not believe in God until they pay the due tax willingly or unwillingly.
If this is guidance from the Quran, those that follow such guidance cannot believe these are calls for peace . To the contrary, there cannot be peace, accept among believers.
Those that believe otherwise or have evolved beyond accepting superstition as truth cannot enjoy this peace and security you claim manifests from what your God commands.
Your explanation therefore categorizes the rest of the world as rapists. Who will not feel safe or secure, or peace so long as Muslims follows as God commands.

I guess you havent read the whole Quran this is why when you read such verses from some anti-Islamic websites you are bound to feel that Islam is not a religion of peace. Let me give the background first as to when and why these verses were revealed to Muhammad(PBUH) and then we can talk about these verses.
Muhammed(PBUH) was born in Quraish tribe, a leading tribe in Arabia who were also the guardians of Kaaba which was built by Abraham(PBUH). When prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was born, Arabia was at the height of barbarism with people fighting over silly reasons for genarations, burying their daughters alive, cheating, robbery, injustice, drinking, fornication, idol worship etc. Now Muhammed(PBUH)'s father died before he was born, his mother died when he was 6 his grand father was the one who took care of him. At the age of 25 he married Khadija a widow who was 40 years old even though he could have easily got younger virgin girls to marry. Muhammed(PBUH) got his prophethood when he was 40 years old until then he was called Sadiq-ul-Ameen which means
trustworthy by the people of Makkah. After getting prophethood he was ordered by God to call people to worship one and only God. This is when few accepted his call and few denied among whom were his own uncles, friends, neigbours, relatives etc. To stop Muhammed(PBUH) from calling to worship one God they started offering him money, woman & position to which he denied and persistently kept calling people towards one God. When the leaders of Makkah saw that nothing was stopping Muhammed(PBUH) from doing his job, they started harming him physically by abusing, throwing rubbish, stones, putting camel skin or dung
while he was praying etc. They even boycotted him and his followers for 3 consecutive years when they were made to live in a valley with no food or water. This is when his wife Khadeejah and his grand father died. He had 4 daughters and 3 sons, all except one daughter died during his lifetime. Imagine someone
going through all this but still being ordered by God not to retaliate even though few of his companions who accepted his call were among the strongest of Arabs. This went on for thirteen years and finally when the leaders of Makkah made a plot to kill Muhammed(PBUH), God orderd Muhammed(PBUH) to leave Makkah and go to Madinah. Once Muhammed(PBUH) reached Madinah he was peacefully living but the Non-believers of Makkah which include his own
relatives couldnt bear this thought that he was still alive and propagating the idea to worship only one God, and thus they plotted to attack Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers and people of Madinah, with an army. Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers had no proper food or shelter let alone any kind of proper arms to fight against the Non-believers but this time God ordered Muhammed(PBUH) to fight back and not to get oppressed anymore.
This is the situation when these kind of verses regarding fight were revealed to Muhammed(PBUH) and these are the same verses which are taken out of context without any background knowledge, to blame the whole of Islam. Now lets look at the verses.

Do you wish to offer Allâh a manifest proof against yourselves?"(4:144) - The word "Auliya" used in this verse means Protector, Helper or Friend. If you look at the context of this verse its talking about Hypocrites who claim to be Muslim but at the sametime be friends with Non-believers and give away all the secrets of the believers to the Non-believers whenever Non-believers attacked the believers who were living peacefully in Madinah. The minute a war is won by Believers they would say we were among you and whenever non-believers won the war they would say we were on your side. The other reason why Allah is ordering believers not to take non-believers as friends is because some of the believers had sympathy for the non-believers as they were their own friends or relatives. This is why Allah is specifically saying to believers not to take Non-believers as your protector in war as the non-believers have hatred filled against the believers and 13 years of torcher against Muhammed(PBUH) and his followers in enough evidence to show how much hatred the non-believers had against the believers.
