Hi it differs with inverters, some inverters will work but some not. eg Growatt will give an alarm when the mppt board is missing if you disconnect mppt the inverter will show high voltage on pv fan will spin at max speed ie it will mulfunction
Assuming the mmpt igbt was faulty, can the inverter still convert DC to AC, if there is problem with the mmpt circuit? or will it affect the whole inverter from functioning if it happens that the mmpt side is faulty?
