- Let's have a look at this rusty Buick Riviera in the junkyard. This car has seen better days but it still has some good parts left.

Now that's cool
It sure is.
Cool find Nathan!😎 it’s sad seeing some of those old cars rusted up… Thanks for sharing!👍🏽
Yeah this one was too far gone.
I'd like to have that nail head v8! 👀 Those are pretty cool. Thanks for taking us along Nathan 🔧
I'm not sure if that car is still there. I haven't been back to that yard.
#5👍🏼 Tingling, Natey🌄💐💋
I had a 1963 Dodge Dart. It was going ti be a project of mine, but after 3 mos. of having it sit, doing nothing, I sold it. Being I had my own in home childcare business (M-Sun. 5am - 9pm)
I had no time to work on it!! 😅
ZOINKS!!
I have been working on the same project forever but it will be almost done eventually

😊❤💪🏼
Those quarter panel indents remind me of a 69 Super Bee. That car also looks like the one Nicholas Cage drove in the opening scene of Drive Angry.
That car has some good body lines at least what was left them.
😮 man
Toasty rust
Man, that makes me sad to see one that can't be saved.
I've taken good care of my Rivera for over 30 years!
Yeah it was so rusty. It still had some good parts left.

Those bumpers would have been worth getting for sure, you could have made some money off them!
I don't like buying stuff for cars I don't know much about. If parts don't sell than I am stuck with them.
@@NathansMoparGarage No only that, but they aren't easily shippable. Smaller items can be listed on Ebay and shipped. Bulky items are a problem. I parted out a 1979 Oldsmobile Toronado after using the parts to rebuild mine after it was stolen and I bought it back from the insurance company. Fortunately, I had room to store everything. It took years to get rid of everything. Once Craigslist, Ebay and other websites became the norm to get parts, I got rid of them. I even kept an Excel spreadsheet of all the costs and profit on the project and the car. I made out in the end, but it took some effort.
@@NathansMoparGarageparts for first generation Rivieras bring a premium
Now you're talking. I had a 65 Skylark 2 door hardtop. I don't remember the engine other than V8.
That sounds like a cool car
Correct, 1963 with the tag for the brag:
04D for the third week of April 1963 production, 63 for 1963 model year, 4747 for Buick Riviera two door sport coupe, FB for Flint, MI assembly, 728 for Silver interior trim, NN for Burgundy lower and upper exterior paint, S7 for outside remote-control mirror, I6 for Soft Ray tinted glass, N2 for air conditioning, among other codes.
No VIN, can't win, but easy to figure out, no doubt: 7 for Riviera, J for 1963 model year, 1 for Flint, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Flint MI plant was the Buick "home" plant and operated from 1904 to 1999.
It had an interesting color combination.
@@NathansMoparGarage Someone was proud to drive this home one day in the very distant past.
Whoops, that's 04D for the FOURTH (not third) week of April 1963 production. 04C would be the third week.
It would have been a cool ride.
@@NathansMoparGarage Last ride and you can't save its' hide.
Then again it's pretty Rusty
It was very rusty
What area did you find this in?
My ex wife had one that color for her first car, central Michigan, around 1978-80.
I also saw one this color behind a gas station in Merrill Michigan around 1990
It was in Aurora, IL not sure if it is still there.
I suppose it's possible it could be one or the other.
I don't think Aurora is that far from central Michigan.
Probably a 3 or 4 hour drive
@@brianwilson6403Aurora is basically west of Chicago the farthest western suburbs of the metropolitan area about 45 minutes
Damn shame ☹️
Yeah road salt kills everything.
Should not be there..😡😠
That one was too far gone.
@@NathansMoparGarage That car hasn't had solid floor pans since either Nixon or Carter were in the White House.
You would be surprised how fast this car was in it's Day.
It looks like it would have been a cool car to take for a drive.
@@NathansMoparGarage yes, I worked for a Buick Dealership for years, the Rivera was a perfect car,it was sharp looking, luxury and had the power of a high performance car.
@@user-lm1rf6hg7e I have never ridden in a 60s Riviera.
@@NathansMoparGarage I hope someday you do, you'll be surprised.
