Thanks for your videos on the Gen 6 celica. Not too many people making videos on them. Just got a 97 recently. It’s an auto but still fun to drive

This vid is perfect timing! I've been meaning to change mine, and recently I've had a low rev idle, so I suspect it's the fuel filter

Bitch of a job on mine. Used the correct wrenches but even so the nut ended up getting stripped. Got filter off and used vice grips to re-tighten the nut.

I know this video is old but I'm going to ask you anyway
My 1994 celica is cranking but it won't start 3sge 2.0
At first I thought it was the fuel pump because when i sprayed some fuel in the intake it started for a second but died right after so i went ahead and removed it and found that the connector on the fuel pump assembly is fried
So i replaced the connector and the cables and changed the fuel pump but it didn't want to start
Is there anything I need to check next?
I don't think it's the injectors because they can't go bad all at once right?
My English is not that good so i hope you can understand what I'm trying to say 😅
And by the way thank you for making videos on the celica because not a lot of people upload anything about it

Gracias sr. Tengo un Celica 94'. Yo veo que debo remover la caja de filtro de aire.

  • @valtteripietikainen126

Hey. What threads are on your filter since im finding 2 different types? 1 with the same threads on either end M12 x 1.25mm and 1 with M14 x 1.5mm on the inlet and M12 x 1.25mm on the outlet.

I have the same car and mine keeps dying even when idling and I can’t figure out why do you have any idea what it might be

It could be many reasons why it stall out. Have you checked all vacuum hoses, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, fuel pump, fuel injectors and etc.? I would start at the cheaper fix first. Good luck.

Just replaced mine, and it leaked fuel at the bottom, inlet union, which is a tapered thread fitting (no washer), despite being fully tightened?

Hi, it shouldn’t leaked if you did it correctly. Make sure you didn’t cross tread when tightening back up.
