Hey! I don't know who's on the Guitar but I do know that he is not playing in standard tuning, he's playing with all of the strings in drop D. In other words, the whole guitar is tuned down 2 semitones from the normal standard tuning in E. This means the guitar's tuning is now D G C F A D instead of E A D G B E. I hope this helped (:
