Stitch Witchery/Iron on Hem tape is a viable option Angela! Cutting is dramatic... You can affect this length in a clean, longer lasting way... Not to mention the weight of the fabric reoriented to the bottom will also improve the hand/hang/drape of the panels🤗😘

Beautiful! Even though I decorate in a completely different esthetic, I always enjoy watching others decorate in their own way, just for fun! I think the only one I dislike is very Minimal...but i do appreciate all the different ways we can decorate, .... and appreciate the thought and passion that people have for doing so.

Love what you have done to this room. I do love all the decor, and have tried to incorporate some of the ideas into my own home. One of the things I do not love is having to move each piece to dust them. Can you do a video on how you take care of that and how often ect.
Such a lovely room. So nice to see a room that isn't white on white on white. Color is beautiful and you aren't afraid to use it. I love your curtains they are stunning. Love all the decor choices you made as well. I have toile curtains that are red/beige got them on Amazon. They dressed up my living room immensely, a large print but not overstated. I'm decorating around those curtains as they are so beautiful. Thank you for showing us how to decorate with color and in an eclectic way. Hugs and blessings

I’ve always thought blue a difficult color , but you know how to pull it all together and curate the objects- because you always put the” love “into it…..and that is truly the way to decorate….no matter what ! (And sometimes it all gets dusted , and some weeks it doesn’t , who cares?-it’s called living)
Right?! Dust is dust. You just wiz through with a Swiffer stick. And yes, it’s just life. Like house flies during summer on the farm.
I actually liked the room before you painted and redecorated. Still on the fence if I like the new look. So glad you are enjoying your new decorated space..
I agree. Why buy a beautiful old home with virgin old wood and paint it!! I'll never understand it. I think it's distressing to the house.
My house is 100-year-old with tongue and groove 12-inch ceiling tiles. I've always been afraid of what if they would come down and never would have thought that there could be so much beauty behind them. They are still up and I don't know what lies beyond, but love your beams sprayed white and now at least, I may have a workaround if they ever were to come down. Love the teal color with your sofa and drape colors. Beautifully done!

I love that you have your Grandparents chairs. I have 2 chairs and loveseat of a favor Aunt, I'm 63 and don't remember my Uncle, I remember going to visit and always sitting on the porch and being told not to go into the living rm, to this day I'm not sure why.? I use to sneak a peek while no one was watching, I can see these pieces in my minds eye in their living rm as if I'm 8 and sneaking a peek today. Your entire home is beautiful, I'm a sucker for deep windowsills, love the stone you enhanced yours with.

I always told myself that I hated the color teal, but I've changed my mind. The color is fabulous on your walls. It is amazing how much light a dark paint color sucks away. My dining room has gone from light green to a dark blue and is so dark in there at night even with lights on.
My desire to paint my own wood ceiling planks and beams has now been validated. My concern was that I have a very old log house and the beams were hand-hewn. But with the low ceilings, I've always felt like I was living in a basement, even with all the windows we have. I had already painted the ceiling in the kitchen and it's a very cheery room. Now I'll be doing the rest of the downstairs. I just know it will brighten everything up. No guilt about it. The pioneers used to white-wash their log cabins for the same reason.
My neighbour cut special insulation panels between the ceiling girders and put white plaster on them. It looks great, keeps the kitchen warm and brightens up (height about 6 feet).

I have these beautiful vintage curtains that are puddling as well and I didn't want to cut them. Thanks for that great tip on folding the top and using curtain rings...Just received them and will be doing just that...Fabulous idea!! Merci ♥
FIRST, WHERE IS YOUR GREEN VELVET COUCH????? OMG. I HOPE YOU STILL HAVE IT. I would have painted the ceiling but not the beams. My ceiling and beams are all white and I wish the beams were just wood. My main problem are long-haired cats whose fur floats up and catches on the beams, painted even. LOL. I love the drapes as they are. Please don't cut them down. 💞

Your drawing room turned out beautifully and it also looks comfortable and welcoming. So often pretty rooms are very "look but don't touch". I had a friend whose parents had a special pretty chair on display, set on a square of glass over the carpet, to make sure no one sat in it. Pointless!
I sucked in air when I saw you guys were painting that nice ceiling, but you were right, the end result was worth it. And now I feel like painting something too 😁

You could do a single Bishop sleeve and preserve the length of your beloved fabric. It would eliminate puddling on floor. My drapery fabric collection is one of my prized possession., so I understand your reluctance to cut it. Beautiful room!
