I worked at Cabela's and we had a guy try to return used underwear that a friend had regifted to him. The underwear had been originally purchased in the late eighties and this guy was trying to return it in about 2015. I don't think they gave him a refund, but I'm not sure.

Dang this episode hits home. Literally. I live in Celebration lmao. & I can tell you this place definitely has an eerie Disney vibe to it.
Also in regards to the comments about murders, there have been a couple. One dude killed his whole family & dog & acted like nothing happened for a couple weeks. Yikes.
But what’s really interesting is that this one pond behind a big wall that says celebration has had multiple people drive their cars over the wall and into the pond. The most recent one was actually a few months ago. Idk this place prolly haunted or whatever.

I live in Illinois and we just got a Texas road house near where we live and it’s always poppin. The waitlist is like an hour long no matter what time you go. So that information was very useful for us Illinoisans.

I think it may actually be different with Trader Joe's. I've heard that they'll buy small brand products to fill their stores and if they get popular and start selling, they'll create and sell their own lower price Trader Joe's branded product right next to it and slowly phase out their orders from the small brands.

Side note my sister used to pull returning products scams and eventually they will catch on and you have to go to another location. (She would shoplift from one and then return it at another) apparently Walmart changed some of their return policies recently because of that kind of stuff.
I work in laundry at a Marriott and the thing about the comforters in hotels is 100% true. We don’t wash it every time unless there’s obvious stains on it. We do wash the top cover every time tho. Ik that it’s gross, but we’re not doing it to be lazy it’s just that we don’t have the time. If I had to wash every comforter when the hotel is at 90% capacity that would take forever. We also are very understaffed so it’s always busy.
About 30 mins away from where I live there is this warehouse that sells stuff from JC penny, target and other places for extremely cheap. Like 1$ per item or less or like 20$ for an air fryer. Years ago I paid like 2$ each for these decorative pillows from JC Penny and then decided I didn’t really like them so I was like “I wonder what would happen if I tried to return them 😂🤷🏻♀️” I brought them to JC penny and got like 70$ store credit. 🤣🤣👌

59:54, I worked at Bath and Body Works for 3 years and that was true when I worked there. Customers didn't even need a receipt if they were just going to exchange it for another item (i.e. if you returned a lotion, you could exchange it for another lotion or if you were returning a candle, you could exchange it for another candle). We didn't have too many people doing this but there was this one guy who you constantly come in to exchange candles after burning them completely and my manager was catching onto him LOL I think he realized she was catching onto him too because he stopped coming into our location after that

I use to make the sour dough sold at local Trader Joe’s they definitely just contract out their products to companies but they did have some regulations (mold tests monthly and occasional inspections) but the bread was definitely not made any special way 😜

The disney thing is so real. I went to take my kid to see belle at disney. I didnt know where the line was so i said there it is. I accidentally went to the front of the line and these 3 grown women started literally crying and had a meltdown. They had mickey hats on. I didn't know what I did because they were japanese and i couldn't figure out why they were freaking out. You would have thought the world was ending.

I work at said book store and it very well could be the adults. Most bookstore customers are old people with diapers. I literally had a lady shit her pants and walk all around the store dropping it down her leg. It was so bad we actually had to have the carpets replaced in some spots. And yes...it's the book store employees that had to clean the shit. Also most book stores sell adult books and magazines. I've had to clean up customers jizz so many times. We deff don't get paid enough

I was dating someone for about two months. They even introduced me to all their friends and their MOM (their idea, not mine) and then one day he just never responded to my texts or calls and I never heard from him again. That's a real ghosting. People use it too liberally.
Anyway I actually stayed friends with some of his friends he introduced me to lol. So at least there's that.

So I work in retail, and I honestly approve of all returns just because I'm a people pleaser, and I do not want a customer being mean to me, I want them to like me, and I literally try and go out on my way to do the right thing, and I tell my managers, hey, what should I do? And they literally tell me, put up with it, like they literally put me in charge, so that equals me always saying yes to the customers that return the nastiest things. 🥲 So uh welcome to my Ted talk.
