  • Canisp is a brilliant cone-shaped Corbett in Assynt. Took us 5:30 for over 8 miles. Best views in 100 Hills and 49 Munros. This was our 7th Corbett. Good for kids and hi like walking on a clear day with good weather. OS map recommended.

Excellent video . . . there's nothing like being on the mountains with our kids! I first climbed Canisp in 1966, again in 1979, with my daughter in 2022 and, in the worst conditions I can remember on a climb, October last year. Lovely underrated mountain with fantastic views.

That’s amazing history on the mountain. Agree so underrated and amazing to get it mainly to yourself when you go 👍

You head out from Lochinver past Inchnadamph and there is a parking area on right on side. Straight up to Canisp 👍
