Salute to you GMan. I stopped grab delivery cycling bout 5 month's ago. Felt that Grab pushing mono cyclist aside, kept giving me min 3km distance, BP > TW/BT > BB/CCK > YT > MANDAI CAMP ! My last straw when my tire punctured, and had to walked all the way back to BP, 50min. How i wish they could treat mono cyclist fairly, especially to legitimate account riders.
I stopped grab FT bcos of this reason as well (same area as you) , distance for orders are super unfair even the amount of orders given are pathetic for all the effort & time we put in
I understand yr situation as i hv had flat tyres and bad days as well. Hope things are better now. Wish you all the best in anything and everything you do.

The distances are getting larger due to platforms enlarging the zone areas especially now with multi zones 🙄
@grabadventures I love the flexibility when it comes with food delivery. If i would like to pick it up again, I certainly would like to have your bike setup
The NUS uphill reminds me of the uphill at Windermere condo in Yew Tee , i was using a manual bicycle and couldn’t cycle one bit so I had to push up …… 😂😂
That is quite steep. Ibhv delivered to windmere multiple times. But the nus one is on a whole different level. The entire utown is uphill or downhill with very minimum flat ground.
not worth it to cycle up even if you can bro, cos its also of stress on ur chain and derailleur. no point spoiling them for the sake of one order

We must not let people know that without the vehicles of the riders, delivery companies cannot operate their business model. Right now, I am trying hard to ensure I save up enough money to pay for the $11k COE for motorcycle so that delivery companies won't have 1 motorcycle less to earn them revenue. Its only $11k, plus petrol subsidies never increased since any of the petrol hikes. We must sacrifice ourselves for the greater good of delivery bosses

if not happy with High Table Grab treat Non booking riders as Slave. 😅 u can use Grab bag as recycle as public Dusbin bag for public use better😊 Go Green best collect dustbin.😊 or hired John wicks to take them all out after office also can.😊

Singapore is a small island, however, to travel from NE to areas like Toa Payoh or AMK is still quite a stretch. @@grabadventures

My ebike has 6 gears(i got the Rogi 16) so for me going up those NUS hills would be a breeze i think😅

I realised you were in SGBQ, which has the highest number of orders, so you were at the right zone. It covers a rather large area, probably ok for e-bike. Even within the zone, you may want to figure out which corner to focus (high fees/tipping), probably not the Clementi neighbourhood.

@@grabadventures if you are not doing any heartland zones, you should do Roo as that’s its strength. Can probably achieve $25/hr, esp if you can be more selective with orders. Must reject Roo orders with base fee of $4, otherwise spoil market 😢
@guansin I realize with the multi zone thing roo fares are about the same but the distance has increased at cck and bp.
Agreed fully. Roo has basically cast the net wider by clustering more zones together and increasing the pickup distance allowance. Yet, the good old pickup distance fee is scrapped. We used to love long pickup distances because the high fees would reflect that. Now it’s like GF or worse.
@guansin What do you think is going to happen next year? Some say next year a lot of younger riders will leave gig work due to the compulsory cpf contribution and if fares are affected are affected as a result.
Yes throttle is good, but of course in the hands of the wrong person is bad is easy to over speed. Always two edged sword
My personal opinion is that LTA should have a seperate classification for throttle ebikes with a bit more power.

Many boast how much they earn. These are the minority . But it lets people perceive its a good income job. So the benefits wont come because everyone thinks its a lucrative job. Dont sabo yourselves guys, dont keep boasting your income to boost your ego

Hello what’s the waiting time est for activation of account for deliveroo after receiving the kit? Est how many days or weeks for acc activation?
👋🏼 it seems to differ for various people. For me once i placed order for the kit I rcvd an activation email within 24 hours. However some of my friends took 4 to 5 days. The longest i heard was 14 days.

I bought the rack from maximalsg website. As for the zipties, you can try hardware shops. I got mine from a neighbourhood shop called "Offer & Save"

How do you fold the ebike when the rack is behind? Do you cut the zip tie and put a new one in?

If you are only using it within your neighbourhood u can leave it on however for travel in trains ues u need to cut the cable tie and remove the rack.

@AaAaa-cp7pn you can find them at hardware or tool shops. Most neighbourhoods will have one. Shope like "offer and save". I got mine near my block. The shop is called unique price.
There are reusable zip ties.. The only problem is the 'tail' sticking out while secured.
