7 Cup Burfi or Seven Cup Barfi recipe. It is one of the popular sweets in South India. The texture and colour of this sweet are very similar to mysore pak or milk cake, yet it has its own unique taste and flavour.
With fresh coconut, ghee and milk, its taste is just heavenly. It is also one of the sweets you can prepare during festivals.
In this burfi or sweet recipe seven cups of ingredients are used. The actual measurement goes like this :-
1 cup Gram flour or Besan
3 cup Sugar ( But it's better to use 2 - 2.5 )
1 cup Milk
1 cup fresh grated Coconut
1 cup Ghee.
So all put together 7 cups.
And 1/4 tap Cardamom powder
Store this delicious sweet in an airtight container for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Notes :
* Prepare this sweet low to medium flame to prevent it from burning.
* Adjust the quantity of sugar according to your preference.

The actual measurement for this 7 Cup Barfi goes like this :-
1 cup Gram flour or Besan
3 cup Sugar
1 cup Milk
1 cup fresh grated Coconut
1 cup Ghee.
So all put together 7 cups.
But it's better to use 2 - 2 & 1/2 cups of sugar to avoid too much sweetness. So only I have used 2 & 1/2 cups of sugar.
