The chorus starting: "Face the truth, no substitute for love". The song is also without the San Sebastian Strings sample of "Why I Follow the Tigers" that is present in the released version. This version has leaked onto the internet.

A great demo of an absolutely beautiful Madonna song. Plus it was Madonna's opening song of my very first concert. Earls Court 2001. Up there in one of the greatest memories in my 49 years of life. Madonna...fuck yeah!!
@Dio Ego The Re,-invention opening was off the chart..loved the book of revelation visuals prior to that amazing headstand..did you see the following tours? They all had special opening sections in my opinion...even Madame X

Yes, I was thinking the same thing like George Michael did with ( Waiting For That Day ) & ( Waiting Reprise ) I love both versions but this version just seems more sentimental to me.

I feel the same! I don't think I would have appreciated this demo at all back then. In fact I think the demo is must better than the released version, and her vocals are sublime!

No puedo decidir cual versión es mejor, si la del album que, lógicamente, tiene mayor producción o la versión demo que sobresale en lo que respecta a la voz con todos esos diferentes matices que tanto me gusta escuchar en cualquier artista que valore su trabajo y desee entregar una buena obra musical. Lo que sí sé es que esta demo supera indiscutiblemente a todo el tracklist de Hard Candy y Mdna a pesar de contar la primera con los "productores de moda" y la segunda con un batallón de productores.

While the final product is superior, this is very good, too. I imagine how stunted an artist must feel when a demo gets leaked. It can ruin the whole creative process. Had this been leaked, we probably would not have had the album version.
