First of all, 1 Yojan means 5 miles, which is 8 km, and 1 Yug (12000 years) is not valid for Earth according to Hindu texts; it is the 'god year.' Our Ancestors knew this all because our great sages were highly involved in deep meditation practices most of the time, Gautam Buddha got most of his answers in his deep meditation state, most of the spiritual guru says we seek and try to find our answers outside which is good but when we try to see within ourselves we find that this body is not just a materialistic body it has many elements beyond materialistic things such as soul, the soul carries tremendous knowledge, wisdom and experience so if one meditates deeply he come up with all these experiences and wisdom, our sages found sound of the om is heard in the universe while they were in their deep meditation or samadhi, Swami Vivekananda came to know upon his goal during his meditation to seek the answers upon his life and mission. So when we look inside ourselves we get most of the answers , our ancestors were curious so they were very much curious to know about the universe and our planet so to seek the answers they looked inside them and found that this body is beyond materialistic elements and has many elements to know.

The Vedas reject the multiplicity of Gods in the clearest possible terms and speak about One God, who is Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient and absolutely and absolutely formless, who is ever unmanifest and who never assumes human forms or never descends on earth in any form- human or otherwise. Rig-Veda says “Vishwarkya vimana advihaya” meaning who he is not entangled by mind, omnipresent Lord is the Creator. He is both sustainer and protector too.
The God oversees the insensate and conscious world in a unique way. The entire world rests with him. He is “Yeshah yekah” i.e. only one. He is conscious, indivisible. He is Yekah yevah” Only one.
Where can be more clear assertion of existence of Only One God than this? After reading the description of God in this manner, Sri W.D.Brown writes,
It [Vedic Religion] recognizes but one God.
Vedas call upon to offer worship due only to God and no one else; to nothing else. It is clearly stated in Rig-Veda as under.

There are people who are under illusion that there are many Gods after coming across words like Indra, Agni, and Varuna etc. But these words that signify both God and things other than Gods should not mislead the seeker after truth’ with this purpose in view, the Vedas declare clearly:-

The real God is one, the enlightened ones, speak of Him in several ways, God is divine, the supreme protector and graceful sentient, the Universal soul. They call Him Indra, the Almighty, the universal friend [mitra]. Varuna the most acceptable and obliterator of sins, they describe Him as [agnim] the supreme guide of the Universe, {Yaman} the controller of the Universe, and {matarishvanam] the life of all lives.
So in other words, Indra, Agni, Yama, Suparna, Garuthman and others are different epithets for one and the same God[ though not exclusively, as the same words signify other entities too in different contests]. All doubts about the correctness of the unequivocal statement that the Vedas uphold only monotheism and not Polytheism are set at rest when we consider

All these several worlds, find ultimate refuge, in that curiosity-provoking, thought -arousing Lord who is our father and creator, who is , the maker of sacred injunctions and Knows all the abodes and worlds and finally who is only one assuming the names of different divinities.
Vedas describe only One God at all places. The advice is He alone should be praised and worshipped. He alone is the emperor of the Universe.

100% correct. Why ? Because we are disconnected from the very languages in which these scriptures have been written ie Sanskrit . Our parents/grandparents neglected/ignored this language thinking that only English is good enough , Sanskrit is useless !!!. Our education feed our brain with only stuff , produced in the Western universities !

Its because of the way we were taught things in school. Our current education system has been in place thanks to McCaulay. There was a conversation between McCaulay and his superior somewhere where he has said that we will create a Indian born English educated elite and then drag them away from their roots. Basically the gurukul system of education we had before was torn down and instead this system we know right now was created in its place, and we learnt over generations what the British wanted us to learn. And ofcourse when we got Independence the ruling class was the "Indian born, English educated elite" so the system was not abolished and instead to this day we continue with it :D.

What I would like to infer from this is, ancient Indians had incredible knowledge about astronomy and astronomical calculations.
Probably they documented their know-how or maybe it was lost either through natural causes or by our enemies (every single book in Nalanda University was burned down for more than 6 months continuously).

It is believed that when monks / yogis who attained at least 7 siddhis and are still alive in material body, sit together and meditate, then they can even change the future as per their needs without need to change history. They'd just have to perform few chants and take few breaths and those vibrations are enough to set-off a butterfly effect and make their future for them. One of the 8 siddhis is the ability for a Siddha to select the future mother's womb. Basically they'll reach a stage where they can control their soul outside the material body. This was possible by everyone, naturally, only at the peak of Satyug.

1) Rainbows and sunlight dont have just 7 colours, they have 1000s of colours (we only say 7 or sometimes 6 because our eyes can only distinguish those many colours from each other). And we know sunlight has those colours because rainbows formed from sunlight have those 7 colours.
2) We know about the milky way because ITS LITERALLY VISIBLE TO EVERYONE on a dark day. Its a huge patch of white light on the sky. The thing we didnt know was that its a galaxy and that there's trillions of galaxies like it (which we know now because of modern telescopes)
3) The navagrahas don't include URANUS and NEPTUNE (because they aren't visible to the naked eye). They somehow include SUN, MOON, RAHU and KETU which aren't planets. The only actual planets in navagrahas are Mercury, venus, mars, jupiter and saturn, because they are visible to the naked eye, and they don't twinkle and also move across the sky over time (unlike stars). So no, we didn't know about the 8 planets before their discovery using telescopes.
4)Galileo didn't discover the earth was round. Literally everyone knew the earth was round by about 0 CE because of obvious reasons like how shadows fall at different places and basic observations like Ships disappearing from the bottom first as they reach the horizon. You don't need "advanced technology" to know that.
5) Hanuman chalisa doesn't have the distace to sun, multiplying time (in years) by distance (in miles) doesn't give distance (in miles). Even a child knows distance X time is not equal to distance. Another thing is we don't know how long a Yojana is, its not standardized. Its just a mere coincidence that the numbers match.
I don't know how a channel with 2.2 million subscribers can get away by just speaking such nonsense.

Before; Sanatana dharma and Science weren't different but moved a long the same path. We knew so much knowledge which was wiped out by the Mughals and Brits. People say Islamic people were way ahead in science and accepted the truth. This video is so misleading. Before judging me, please read my full comment.
First of all, this video's title is 'When hinduism proved Science wrong'. Whereas in the whole video he was just talking about how hinduism knew some scientific stuff before the philosophers or any scientist presented it to the world. I don't think so that proved science or 'NASA' wrong.
Most part of the video covers about a god 'Shani', and i know little to nothing about him. And also, this section has nothing to do with videos title. He just talked about some myths related to the gods and little bit of story background too. He literally talked about some myths and explained some things like why this god's temple is black, how was he born, that 7 and a half year thing upto 5:02 in an 8 minute video, which has nothing to do with what title says (almost 62-63% of this video).
Coming to the rainbow part, there is no literature stating the relation of 7 horse thing with 7 colours. And also, newton, who described that there are 7 colors of which white color is formed, formulated only 5 colors at first (He did not include orange and indigo as these colors where described to darker versions of yellow and violet respectively). But further, he added those colors to formulate a relation between no. of colors and musical notes (7 musical notes too). the acronym 'VIBGYOR' was also one of the reasons as adding 'I' and 'O' (vowels) made it more familiar to hear and to remember the color spectrum. Well, there are some arguments stating that his formulation actually contained Orange too and Indigo was later added to make VBGYOR to VIBGYOR. Either way, what I'm trying to say is that these '7' number is just special in our religion. There are many things which are 7 in our relgion (Sapta-loka, sapta rishi, durga saptastuti, 7 feras). THERE IS NO LINE IN ANY HINDU OR ANY RELEGIOUS LITERATURE RELATING '7' WITH COLORS. 7 is just treated as 'shubh' number in hinduism, just like muslims have 786 as a special number. Exaggeration is done here as theoretically, there are infinite no. of wavelengths lying in visible spectrum and thus infinite colors too. this wavelength thing you all must have learned in your pre-science lectures. Also, sun emits UV rays and many more rays too, not considering them, why? Because they cannot be seen is not a satisfactory answer for a religion which can explain the start and end of this world, don't you thonk so? Also nothing about combining them to form white color, which was the basis of this theory,
And yes, these horses and his arch literally means that sun makes a round about earth. It is also stated in literatures that sun or surya dev rides from east to west.(I don't remember the literature and verse, but I'm damn sure you will find it on little bit research). You might argue that these horses makes a roundabout Sagittarius (Black hole at centre of our galaxy). No blackhole or something like sun rides about milky way galaxy (Aakash ganga) has been stated in any literature.
And you all target NASA everywhere, in this rainbow thing too which has nothing to do with there institution. How is NASA related with seven color thing??
