      @Raj Maj I would have loved to work with more Commandos. My time has passed and I'm now a nasty civilian. I've always admired the Commandos' ability to crush our endurance course times at The Basic School in Quantico, VA.

      @Raj Maj That is high praise for us, thank you! But I've always wanted to know, out of the four seasons in the year, why do Commando Officers want to attend our Infantry Officer Course during the summer?

      Im sure one day a woman will. Granted none have passed RM training yet but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. There are plenty of men who have can’t do this. I’ve seen guys fail to climb over a 5 & 6ft wall let alone a cliff face

    • @Veritas118
      @Veritas118 Před 3 lety

      @Raj Maj I wasn’t insinuating you have an issue with woman joining the corp.
      I do recall Capt Phillipa Tattersall completing the All arms. But this was shrouded with controversy. Rumour has it and please correct me if I’m wrong that she had help on different stages throughout the course? For example a step to get over the 6ft wall?
      I’m all for woman joining if they are to the required standard. My only reservation would be how some of the guys would act. We’ve seen how some blokes get when they’re snaking around Wrens on ship, some get jealous and lads fight over a girl and take their minds on the actual task at hand. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Could you imagine if the corp had as many woman as the US Marines serving? Imagine how many unforgivable crimes would be committed...hugging in rig!
      Would you say the Royal Marines or in fact any military force has to stay impartial to various groups or ideologies?

      As I previously stated, if woman can pass the required mental and physical tests then they deserve a place in the elite military unit. What I am saying having witnessed it is that, men and woman can distract each other especially when they’re young!
      Who are you saying aren’t real soldiers? What makes a real soldier? And why should they be kicked out? What have they done?
